Job Description Summary
This role has primary ownership for supplier selection, program material costs and all timing deliverables for their programs. Partners with Engineering, Category Managers, Supplier Quality and Development, and Suppliers to drive optimal material costs including alignment with category strategies for supply base optimization and lowest total acquisition cost throughout program life. Scope of the job is managing ~$1 billion spend, ~900 suppliers worldwide across 8 design and 11 manufacturing sites with the active support of the extended sourcing team.
Job Description
+ Develop strategic supplier relationships that are consistent with the GE Healthcare’s vision and long-term objectives. Ensure 3-5-year plans are in place and communicated to internal stakeholders, including serve as the escalation point of contact for assigned programs for all sourcing needs, including cost, quality, and delivery
+ Driving the sourcing strategy for each of the SBU product segments that delivers a competitive advantage including implementation of strategic supplier initiatives. This includes supplier selection, development, and supplier consolidation to ensure sourcing optimization and overall supplier performance
+ Partner with the Global Category Teams, to translate sourcing strategies into actionable plans at a program level, and translate program needs back into sourcing strategies • Own sourcing deliverables from wing to wing throughout the product lifecycle, including selecting strategic suppliers for any NPI and Supplier Transfers and get suppliers ready to deliver targeted business requirements (Quality, Fulfillment, Cost and Cash) per the program milestones
+ Developing strategies and driving negotiations for best up-front prices, should cost models are leveraged, and driving total cost down year over year. This includes partnering with category management teams, engineering and manufacturing, with a total cost of ownership mindset
+ Track BOM cost impact from business award through end of life. Understand design changes through ECR process with strong communication to category and costing resources to measure cost impact
+ Work closely with Supplier Development and Supplier Quality to manage the flow of materials per project requirements, including analysis of supplier capacity and capability to ensure their ability to supply parts with on-going adjustment of material flow for adequate line fill and inventory optimization
Your Experience
+ Bachelor's degree
+ Minimum of 10 years of experience in Engineering, Sourcing, Operations, or Supply Chain
+ Communication, client service and interpersonal skills necessary to converse with senior management, suppliers, operations and SCM personnel
+ Ability to drive results via fact-based negotiations.
+ Ability to prioritize and manage cost-out projects against scope, schedule and budget.
+ Demonstrated strong analytical, negotiation and communication skills.
+ Executive leadership experience in a global matrix organization.
Your Experience (Preferred)
+ Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Procurement, Supply Chain Management, with Master in Business Administration.
+ 10 years solid sourcing, supply chain or commercial experience including 5 years in a leadership capacity.
+ Extensive global experience leading cross-functional or geographically dispersed teams.
+ Proven Executive Leadership skills in driving Global change across an organization, including strong Change Acceleration Process skills.
+ Demonstrated ability to lead courageously, maintaining a strong position amidst opposition to resolve important issues, and ability to navigate through a large complex business.
+ Experience in best in class manufacturing in a large business system environment

For U.S. based positions only, the pay range for this position is $240,000.00-$360,000.00 Annual. It is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the pay range and compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case. The specific compensation offered to a candidate may be influenced by a variety of factors including skills, qualifications, experience and location. In addition, this position may also be eligible to earn performance based incentive compensation, which may include cash bonus(es) and/or long term incentives (LTI).
