    Position Overview

    The Assembly Technician II is responsible for independently assembling mechanical and fluid systems based on detailed manufacturing drawings and schematics. This role involves making basic component mounting decisions, performing minor modifications to sheet metal, and contributing to improved time estimations and assembly practices.

    Key Responsibilities

    Independently assemble mechanical and fluid systems, adhering to manufacturing drawings and schematics.

     

    Make basic component mounting decisions and perform minor modifications to sheet metal, as necessary, to ensure proper fit and function.

     

    Provide input on estimated time for specific tasks and assist in improving project time estimations.

     

    Document work processes, including any improvements or changes, to refine and optimize assembly practices and efficiency.

     

    Collaborate with team members to troubleshoot assembly issues and ensure quality control throughout the assembly process.

    Qualifications

    High school diploma required; technical degree or ongoing technical education required.

     

    2-4 years of experience in machine assembly or a similar role, with exposure to prototype building and assembly.

    Skills & Requirements:

    Proficient in using a range of measuring equipment and tools, such as calipers, micrometers, and torque wrenches.

     

    Competent in reading and interpreting complex parts prints, assembly drawings, and fluid schematics.

     

    Basic knowledge of CAD software for minor alterations and understanding geometric tolerances (GD&T).

     

    Familiarity with mechanical and fluid systems, including basic assembly techniques for prototypes.

     

    Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

    Physical Requirements:

    Ability to work in a manufacturing environment, including standing for extended periods.

     

    Ability to lift up to 30lbs and work with tools and machinery safely.

     

    Compensation and Benefits

     

    Pay Range: $23.00-$26.00
