    Work You'll Do

     

    We are seeking a skilled and experienced Network Operations Engineer to join our Network Operations Center (NOC) team.

     

    + The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing and maintaining the enterprise network infrastructure for a DoD client, with a focus on Cisco SD-WAN and Palo Alto firewalls, ensuring high availability, performance, and security.

    + This role requires a Familiarity with security frameworks and industry standards like NIST SP 800-82 Rev. A, ISO/IEC 27001, CIS Controls, DoD 8500.01, etc.

    + The Network Operations engineer should also be familiar with cybersecurity tools such as SIEM (Security Information and Event Management) systems, and vulnerability scanners i.e. Assured Compliance Assessment Solution (ACAS).

    + The primary job of the CSPEv3 NOC support team is to support local and remote locations where CSPEv3 infrastructure is deployed in order to integrate FRCS systems into this network topology with an end goal of enhancing the cyber security posture and enable continuous monitoring of critical systems.

    + Proficiency in designing, deploying, and managing Cisco SD-WAN solutions.

    + Expertise in configuring and managing Palo Alto firewalls.

    + Understanding of network protocols, services, and security (e.g., TCP/IP, BGP, OSPF, VPN).

    + Experience with network monitoring and management tools (e.g., SolarWinds, Cisco Prime).Problem-solving and troubleshooting skills. Strong communication and collaboration skills.

    Qualifications

    Required

    + Bachelor's Degree

    + 3+ years of relevant, systems engineering experience in performing system issue analysis, risk management, system troubleshooting, and system documentation.

    + 1+ year of experience doing network support and network administration

    + Valid Sec+ certification or ability to obtain before starting

    + Active Secret security clearance required

    + Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without the need for employer sponsorship, now or at any time in the future

    + Ability to travel 10% on average, based on the work you do and the clients and industries/sectors you serve.

    + Must be able to work onsite 5 days a week in Norfolk, VA

    Preferred:

    + Experience with virtual Palo Alto firewalls as a service in VMware NSX environments is highly desirable.

    + Preferred Certifications include

    + Cisco Certified Network Professional (CCNP) Enterprise

    + Palo Alto Networks Certified Network Security Engineer (PCNSE)

    + CompTIA Security+

    + Cisco Certified Internetwork Expert (CCIE) (optional)
