    The Federal Technology Devops Engineer will be responsible for the Technical Support of Federal environments. This will include Engineering and Operational activities. The Federal Technology Devops Engineer will partner with Data Owners, Product Owners & Project Architects to understand the business requirements and then propose best in class solutions, design & implement solutions based on these requirements. The Federal Technology Devops Engineer must adhere to policies & standards whilst implementing the solution adhering to industry best practices. The Federal Technology Devops Engineer shall work and consult with various project teams to ensure that Federal Systems are integrated into various applications & comprehensively tested to ensure system robustness, acceptable performance, and reliability. The Federal Technology Devops Engineer creates and contributes to policies, technical procedures, technical documentation, awareness, and cross team training. The Federal Technology Devops Engineer works continually to develop advanced skills and strives to foster broader organizational maturity in these areas.

    PRIMARY QUALIFICATIONS:

    + 8+ years of supporting IT Infrastructure environments or 6 years with an advanced Degree

    + 5+ years developing environments (Powershell, Python, SQL, Unix shell, etc.)

    + 3+ years of working experience with RedHat Enterprise Linux administration

    + Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Business Administration or equivalent educational and/or equivalent relevant professional experience

    + Must be a US Citizen

    + Ability to travel up to 10%, on average, based on the work you do

    PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

    + 3+ years of working experience with Deltek products, Azure Devops, database administration, and infrastructure experience

    + 2+ years of work experience related to support of AWS Cloud platform

    + Ability to work non-standard shifts and/or on-call to support the requirements of the organization

    + Outstanding attention to detail and adherence to project deadlines

    + Ability to work effectively, both independently and as a member of a team

    + Ability to handle multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment

    + Strong negotiation skills and ability to interact effectively with various levels of management and staff in both technical and business roles

    + Strong analytical, problem-solving and multi-tasking skills are required for the timely resolution of complex customer issues

    + Excellent communication skills, technical writing skills and attention to detail

    TECHNOLOGY/TOOL SKILLS

    + Ability to monitor and report on multiple deliverables with a focus on meeting / exceeding deadlines

    + Ability to guide & lead various project teams on a project implementation

    + Ability to articulate team policies, procedures and guidelines to all levels of staff

    + Ability to innovate and to learn new skills as required in supporting a continually changing technical environment

    + Provide expertise when consulted as a subject matter expert

    + Technical Support of Federal systems and related environments.

    + Provide direct support to development teams and QA teams

    + Provide Engineering and project participation

    + Create standards and best practices following ITIL guidelines, capacity planning, and integration with Deloitte technical support teams in multiple geographical locations

    + Responsible for establishing and executing business recoveries and procedures

    + Able to implement processes to continue to improve operational stability

    + Work with vendors to build technology roadmaps, evaluate products or solutions and recommend direction based on annual ITS objectives

    PROJECT SKILLS

    + Candidate will be called on to act as a representative of the Federal Devops team on particular projects, providing coordination, and point of contact to the project team

    + Demonstrates a working ability to provide accurate project estimates and timelines

    + Demonstrates a strong ability to deliver on project commitments

    + Demonstrates an ability to manage project deliverables on multiple projects effectively

    LEADERSHIP SKILLS

    + Demonstrates the ability to operate as the primary resource on a project, through planning, resource allocation, conflict resolution, project negotiation, reporting, managing the application through its entire lifecycle

    + Demonstrates the ability to work with peers on project assignments

    + Demonstrates a working ability to foster a cooperative environment with the entire project team, understanding the culture and how to be effective in it

    The wage range for this role takes into account the wide range of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions including but not limited to skill sets; experience and training; licensure and certifications; and other business and organizational needs. The disclosed range estimate has not been adjusted for the applicable geographic differential associated with the location at which the position may be filled. At Deloitte, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the range for their role and compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case. A reasonable estimate of the current range is $102,000 to $189,000.

     

    You may also be eligible to participate in a discretionary annual incentive program, subject to the rules governing the program, whereby an award, if any, depends on various factors, including, without limitation, individual and organizational performance.
