The work location of this role is hybrid, meaning it will be performed both from a LinkedIn office on select days and from home, as determined by the business needs of the team.

     

    This role will be based in New York, Mountain View or Atlanta.

     

    We are looking for a Director, Sourcing Services to join our team to ensure a delightful experience for our internal business stakeholders. In this role, you will direct and oversee shared services across the source to pay function while focusing primarily on sourcing. This team consists of the Concierge/Intake Service, Customer Service, Communication, Managed Service Provider as well as Pipeline & Catalog Planning functions. This team will be a key partner for our outsourced supplier and our category teams by appropriately managing risk by implementing and utilizing the appropriate purchasing paths and taking corrective action, as needed, to ensure a smoother process. This team will also review metrics that matter to initiate change, as needed.

    Responsibilities:

    + Create, execute and manage the strategy of our outsourced model and provide cost/benefit analysis to Sr. Leadership to support recommendations

    + Lead the Strategic Sourcing operational transformation by implementing the defined purchasing paths based on risk and skill set to be managed by both strategic sourcing and our third-party supplier (outsourced provider)

    + Responsible for ensuring the success of our outsourced model (third party provider)

    + Manage the team that ensures all supplier expirations and terminations are managed efficiently by the internal strategic sourcing team(s)

    + Ensure purchasing paths are being leveraged accurately and identify leakage that is not being routed correctly through data analytics

    + Ensure the intake process is working accurately to identify the appropriate purchasing path and assign to the applicable team within Strategic Sourcing and Third-Party Provider all within the required SLA timeframe

    + Recommend changes to LinkedIn Source to Pay tools/systems as needed to ensure the new purchasing paths work as intended

    + Create a centralized tool/mechanism to capture and report on pain points as identified across Source to Pay which will be leveraged by the appropriate internal sourcing teams to update processes or conduct training as needed

    + Focuses heavily on the execution of internal processes by Strategic Sourcing and Third-Party Provider to ensure SLA requirements are met and to identify gaps in skills and makes recommendations to Sourcing Leadership for training or performance coaching

    + Action feedback from strategic sourcing and our third-party supplier to modify the processes to the purchasing paths, as applicable, to ensure a sustainable process

    + Lead the communications related to the transformation of Strategic Sourcing, including designing, drafting, and developing of our internal brand and obtaining alignment across Strategic Sourcing

    Basic Qualifications:

    + 10+ years of experience in sourcing/procurement operations, systems or similar functional experience

    + 2+ years of leadership experience

    Preferred Qualifications:

    + Masters, Business Administration (MBA)

    + Experience driving customer service initiatives within a sourcing organization

    + Experience analyzing data and driving insights and data-driven decision making

    + Experience using and developing reports, metrics and dashboards with PowerBI or other applicable tools

    + Proven experience driving change and assisting with a transforming organization

    + Customer focused, responsive and action oriented with a strong sense of urgency

    + Proficient at managing multiple simultaneous, high impact workstreams

    + Excellent communication, presentation, analytical and problem-solving skills

    + Ability to communicate with senior management

    + Ability to work in a fast-paced, startup environment

    LinkedIn is committed to fair and equitable compensation practices.

     

    The pay range for this role is $156,000 to $252,000. Actual compensation packages are based on several factors that are unique to each candidate, including but not limited to skill set, depth of experience, certifications, and specific work location. This may be different in other locations due to differences in the cost of labor.
