    Ferguson is currently seeking the right individual to fill an immediate need for a Waterworks District Counter Manager. This position is responsible for leading all counters for the Northeast Territory.

    Position Details:

    + Reports to the Director of Corporate Counter Development

    + Details: 53 Counters, manages a team of 4 Counter Managers and Supervisors

    + Position will be based out of the Northeast or Mid Atlantic.

    + Must be willing to travel up to 40% of the time throughout the Northeast/Mid Atlantic Region.

    Responsibilities

    + Develop profitable business with new and existing customers, building customer rapport and trust and drive sales for our counter sales business

    + Improve the customer experience

    + Expand our non-traditional product lines to both current and new customers

    + Work closely with internal sales force to promote and market products

    + Oversees the strategy and implementation for all the counters within the district

    + Maintain and develop relationships with suppliers, address and resolve customer complaints

    + Supervises the merchandising, organization, and appearance of the counter

    + Ensure product marketing through merchandising and promotions

    + Maintain inventories at adequate levels, promote sales and maintains the appearance

    Qualifications

    + 5+ years of years direct management / leadership experience is preferred

    + Prior Counter/Retail Sales is strongly preferred

    + Able to initiate and embrace change, mentoring skills, and desire to train others

    + Excellent proactive communication skills with all levels of management and staff is imperative

    + Ability to collaborate with business leaders and peers across the organization to anticipate, identify, recommend, and implement creative operational and customer service solutions

    + Decisive, fair, and consistent approach to associate communication and interaction

    + Strong customer service and collaborative style
