DESCRIPTION:
Duties: Design, develop and implement software solutions for full stack web and mobile native platforms. Provide coaching and guidance for teams in matrix environments to create and enhance application architecture as well as software solutions. Involved in all aspects of the Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC) including analyzing requirements, incorporating architectural standards into application design specifications, documenting application specifications, translating technical requirements into programmed application modules, and developing proof of concepts with emerging technologies. Solve problems through innovative designs. Perform design reviews and recommend ways to incorporate non-functional requirements into designs and information or data flows. Proactively create impactful storylines for executive presentations and seek out the appropriate audiences for influence. This position requires up to 30% domestic travel.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Minimum education and experience required: Bachelor's Degree in Applied Computer Science, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Management Information Systems, Information Technology, Electrical Engineering, Electronic Engineering, Mathematics, Statistics, Data Analytics, Data Engineering, or related field of study plus 7 years of experience in the job offered or as Software Engineer, Senior Technical Lead, Technical Consultant, Software Developer or related occupation. The employer will alternatively accept a Master's Degree in Applied Computer Science, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Management Information Systems, Information Technology, Electrical Engineering, Electronic Engineering, Mathematics, Statistics, Data Analytics, Data Engineering, or related field of study plus 5 years of experience in the job offered or as Software Engineer, Senior Technical Lead, Technical Consultant, Software Developer or related occupation.
Skills Required: This position requires experience with the following: REST API using JAVA and J2EE concepts such as Java concurrency, Caching, Graceful fails, JVM, memory management and dependency injection; designing and implementing container-based APIs using Docker; managing Docker images; implementing Docker Swarm for high availability, automatic disaster recovery, and zero-downtime updates; building front-end applications using ReactJS, JavaScript, Angular, HTML, CSS, Ajax, and JQuery; developing reusable UI components using React and following best practices and design patterns; managing component states using React's state and hooks or state management libraries such as Redux or Context API; REACT tools including Webpack, Enzyme, Redux, and Flux; building single-page applications (SPAs) or complex web applications using React's component-based architecture; designing scalable and maintainable React applications, and defining best practices, project structure, and architectural decisions; monitoring performance improvements and identifying bottlenecks and solution optimizations for React applications; AWS Kubernetes Horizontal Pod Autoscaling configuration and Ingress, Egress, and Multi-tenancy; configuring Control plane, Ephemeral storage and volumes, network & application load balancing, and managing Kubernetes secrets and replica-set management in Kubernetes; developing supporting APIs and configuring the ephemeral storage and volumes on ECS AWS Fargate; analyzing log groups, creating Log anomaly detection, and creating alarms using AWS CloudWatch logs; data structures and algorithms, design patterns, and problem-solving; configuring composite pipelines, executing Cl/CD Spinnaker pipelines, and automating rollback pipelines; developing software utilizing Spring, Spring Boot, and Maven to manage application dependencies; data modelling, normalization and performance tuning of Oracle, Cassandra and PostgresSQL; de-dup, replay, and multi consumer group onboarding and tuning replication factors and partitions in Kafka; integrating Datadog Application Performance Monitoring and setting up CPU, memory and infra alerts; configuring and creating multi-dimensional analysis and analyzing distributed traces in Dynatrace; AWS infrastructure terraform deployments using plan, apply, destroy and storing the remote state; creating custom dashboards and setting up alerts, charts and email reports using Splunk; developing unit tests including the use of Junit, Mockito, Sonar, Sonarlint and Power Mockito; Application Resiliency and Security methodologies such as ADFS, Oauth 2.0, and Ping Identity; ETL process involving data cleansing, aggregation, and enrichment to ensure data is usable for data scientists and analysts.
