    Responsibilities

    1. Inspect and repair pneumatic, hydraulic, electrical, and mechanical systems related to tooling on thermoforming machines.

    2. Perform preventive maintenance procedures as specified in the QSI system.

    3. Complete work assigned by Group Leader or Asst. Group Leader.

    4. Communicate activities with Group Leader and other members of department.

    5. Maintain neat and orderly appearance of the shop tooling equipment, and storage areas.

    6. Obtain parts in emergency cases.

    7. Assist in other departments as requested by Group Leader or Asst. Group Leader.

    8. Seek training to stay current with job requirements.

    9. Assume control of machine when a situation arises which has potential for personal injury or rapid deterioration of machine.

    Qualifications

    Education:

    • High school diploma / GED equivalent.

    • Willingness to complete a four-year tool maker apprenticeship program.

    Practical:

    • Relevant past work experience.

    • Able to accept responsibility for work performed.

    • Able to work independently and with others.

    • Able to work independently in a potentially isolated area of the building.

    • Knowledge of mechanical systems.

    • Basic trouble shooting skills.

    • Must be self-motivated and self-disciplined abiding by all company codes of ethics, safety polices and rules.

    • Verbal communication adequate to use a radio and or paging system to contact other co-workers in other areas of the complex.

    • Ability to Safely use a forklift independently and maintain all applicable training requirements for use in high traffic, low clearance areas while not posing a safety risk to others.
