Responsibilities
**ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS** :
1. Refer to FRANSOP-1001, EHS Expectations by Role
2. Work from established procedures, written and/or verbal instructions.
3. Assist the operator with set-ups for proper width, length and packaging of various product put-ups.
4. Loads tape drums and remove empty drums cores using the overhead hoist system.
5. Where applicable, manually load slitter spindles with tape cores.
6. During slitting operations, assist operator and crewmembers with their duties to ensure a continuous flow of materials and product.
7. Assist the operator visual inspections for quality products.
8. Where applicable use overhead hoist to move spindles and rolls of tape from the slitter with the aid of the operator.
9. Where applicable manually load and unload spindles and rolls of tape from the slitter with the aid of the operator.
10. Notify supervisor of any quality or maintenance problems.
11. Perform minor machine repair.
12. Follow prescribed safety and GMP regulations.
13. Be able to fill out the slitter check sheet and rewind sheet properly.
14. Perform quality checks in accordance with check sheets and established standards.
15. Thread slitter and make proper splices.
16. Help perform changeovers and set-up knife banks and spindles and change knives as needed.
17. Where applicable, stack off finished goods onto the appropriate pallet.
18. Where applicable, maintain the case sealer and keep it supplied in sealing tape.
19. Maintain necessary records.
20. Move materials.
21. Operate powered forklift as required.
22. Maintain work area and equipment in a clean and orderly.
23. Perform other duties as required and directed.
Qualifications
QUALIFCATIONS:
1. High School Diploma or GED Preferred
2. Previous manufacturing experience preferred
1. Must have excellent attendance
2. Maintain a safe work environment
3. Must be able to work overtime as required
4. Must be able to perform all duties in a safe and effective manner.
5. Ability to read and write.
