    CTG is seeking to fill a Help Desk Specialist II – Onsite opening for our client in Anchorage, AK.

     

    **Location:** Anchorage, AK

    **Duration:** 12 months

    Duties:

    + Serve as the first level of user support for hardware, software, and networking issues.

    + Configure new computers and upgrade existing systems.

    + Install and support software applications, including industry-specific tools.

    + Troubleshoot desktop network hardware and software issues.

    + Collaborate with Helpdesk Supervisor and IT management to perform support tasks.

    + Analyze and resolve application issues in software such as Aries, Petra, SMT, and I.H.S data analysis.

    + Maintain confidentiality of sensitive information and protect corporate assets.

    + Stay up to date on technical trends through training and professional development.

    + Support company values, vision, and mission while maintaining schedule and punctuality.

    Skills:

    + Strong customer service orientation and interpersonal communication skills.

    + Advanced troubleshooting abilities with desktop computers, printers, and smartphones/mobile devices.

    + Deep understanding of Windows desktop operating systems and utilities.

    + Basic knowledge of Windows server environments.

    + Capable of managing multiple tasks in a fast-paced setting with shifting priorities.

    + Proficient in Microsoft Office (Outlook and Excel emphasized).

    + Preferred: Familiarity with oil and gas industry applications (Aries, Petra, IHS, SMT).

    Experience:

    + Minimum of three (3) years hands-on IT support experience, preferably within the oil and gas industry.

    + Demonstrated expertise in diagnosing and resolving technical issues while maintaining professionalism and courtesy.

    Education:

    + Preferred: Bachelor’s Degree in Information Technology, Management Information Systems, Computer Science, or a related field from an accredited institution.

     

    Excellent verbal and written English communication skills and the ability to interact professionally with a diverse group are required.
