• Infrastructure Specialist System Administration

    CTG (San Diego, CA)


    CTG is seeking to fill an Infrastructure Specialist – System Administration opening for our client in San Diego, CA.

     

    **Location:** San Diego, CA

    **Duration:** 6 months

    Duties:

    + Perform daily system administration tasks for Windows-based environments.

    + Manage and maintain Microsoft Active Directory, including GPO configuration and troubleshooting.

    + Execute OS patching cycles and ensure system compliance with security standards.

    + Develop and maintain PowerShell scripts for automation and administrative tasks.

    + Provide Tier 2/3 support for Windows 10/11 and Windows Server 2016/2019/2022 environments.

    + Conduct basic system administration for Linux systems (Red Hat or Amazon Linux).

    + Coordinate and perform maintenance during off-hours or scheduled downtime windows.

    + Collaborate with cross-functional IT teams to ensure optimal system performance and reliability.

    Skills:

    + Windows systems administration, patching, and automation.

    + Microsoft Active Directory and GPO management.

    + PowerShell scripting proficiency.

    + Experience with Windows 10/11, Windows Server (2016/2019/2022).

    + Basic knowledge of Linux system administration (Red Hat or Amazon Linux).

    + Strong troubleshooting, organizational, and time management skills.

    + Ability to work independently and handle late-hour maintenance.

    Experience:

    + Minimum 3 years of experience in system administration roles with a focus on Microsoft technologies.

    Education:

    + Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field preferred. Equivalent work experience may be considered.

     

    Excellent verbal and written English communication skills and the ability to interact professionally with a diverse group are required.

    The expected base salary for this position ranges from $60.00/hour to $65.00/hour. Salary offers are based on a wide range of factors including relevant skills, training, experience, education, market factors, and where applicable, licensure or certifications obtained. In addition to salary, a competitive benefit package is also offered.
