Job Posting: Efficiency Engineer

**Position Title:** Efficiency Engineer

Job Description:

Draka Elevator Products Inc. seeks an Efficiency Engineer to drive continuous improvement efforts and share best practices across plants in the North American market. The selected candidate will:

+ Utilize the manufacturing operational excellence model to drive continuous improvement in our facility.

+ Collaborate with business and manufacturing teams to identify key problem areas and implement effective solutions.

+ Apply Lean and Six Sigma tools and techniques, including SPC, process capability studies, measurement systems analysis, Kaizen, 6S, SMED, TPM, Poka-yoke, and other methodologies.

+ Manage the product development process in relation to customer needs.

+ Teach, mentor, and coach Lean Technicians and Greenbelts to support continuous improvement goals.

+ Monitor and evaluate product design variables to ensure results align with specifications.

+ Document technical data on materials, compounds, conductors, drums, machine selections, scrap rates, speed/time, and cost detention.

+ Use the company’s ERP system to manage and track sales, purchasing, warehousing, and production activities.

Requirements:

+ Bachelor’s degree (or foreign equivalent) in Industrial Engineering, Environmental Engineering, or a related field.

+ Two (2) years of experience (pre- or post-Bachelor's) as an Engineer or in a related role.

+ Experience must include:

+ Engineering processes including wire drawing, stranding, extrusion, regrinding, and wire screening

+ Data analysis and dashboard creation using Power BI

+ Project management across departments

+ Efficiency initiatives in manufacturing (e.g., scrap reduction, labor efficiency)

+ Lean Six Sigma and continuous improvement tools

+ ERP systems, specifically SAP

+ Must be willing to travel 5% domestically.
