Position Summary
We are seeking a Senior Manager, Procurement like you to join our amazing Nashville, TN corporate team.
The successful candidate will be responsible for global procurement (e.g., purchasing and supply chain activities), as well as vendor management (e.g., negotiation, purchase, and relationships associated with outsourced services).
• Accountable for obtaining goods / services required by the organization including:
o Indirect Operations (e.g., Office Supplies, Computers, Travel, Maintenance, Machine Parts, etc.) and Direct Operations (e.g., Raw Materials and Services for Manufacturing, Production or Construction; Products for Retail, etc.)
o Product / Service Sourcing.
o Supplier Selection.
o Pricing / Terms Negotiation.
o Order Processing.
o Contract Administration.
o Supplier Performance Management.
• Manages or performs strategic sourcing work to manage risk and optimize the value/resilience of materials/services sourcing including:
o Establishing supplier relationship management processes and continuous improvement goals/programs.
o Negotiating contracts and coordinating supplier integration plans with internal clients.
o Monitors market dynamics that impact materials/services availability and/or pricing.
o Partners with internal clients to identify sourcing needs, develop buyer/market profiles, identify marketplace trends, and define acceptable service levels.
Responsibilities
o Manages a department or function that includes multiple teams led by managers/supervisors and/or manages a functional area or process that may or may not have direct reports.
o Ownership of short to mid-term (1-3 years) execution of functional strategy and the operational direction of the department.
o Responsible for ensuring department goals/objectives are met and align to Bridgestone's overall strategy.
o Oversees and supports development and execution of departmental strategy.
o Requires ability to influence multiple, diverse stakeholders to accept policy, practices, and approaches.
o Involves frequent communication with executive leadership on issues of significance.
o Controls resources and policy formation in area of responsibility.
o Influences, coaches, and develops direct reports.
**Minimum Requirements** :
o Tier 1 automotive experience preferred.
o **Candidates must already be in or around the Nashville, TN area.**
Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree; 8+ years of relevant experience including 5+ years management or leadership experience.
Or Master’s degree; 6+ years of relevant experience including 4-5 years management or leadership experience.
