Hagerty is looking for **Accountants and Certified Public Accountants** to support FEMA-s Public Assistance Technical Assistance Contract (FEMA PA TAC). The FEMA Public Assistance program reimburses state and local governments, tribal entities, and private nonprofits for disaster related response and recovery costs.

Candidates for a FEMA PA TAC position will be considered on an as-needed basis. Candidates must either have an active FEMA badge for transfer or be willing to go through the FEMA background check and badging process (only U.S. Citizens can be badged).Badgingis a rigorous process as the position requires a Public Trust federal security clearance. A background investigation is performed on credit, criminal, and personal conduct histories.

Candidates must be able to mobilize to a disaster recovery site, work on-site, and must fulfill the full period of performance. Rotations are typically offered within 30-90 days of onsite work.

Responsibilities for Accountants may vary from project to project, but may include:

+ Provide forensic accounting services, including but not limited to examining financial records, conducting cost reasonableness analyses, and tracing funds.

+ Develop and implement cost models.

+ Perform invoice reviews, verifying invoice details and ensuring accuracy.

+ Review and reconcile project costs, including force account labor, contracts, and purchase and use of supplies and equipment.

+ Deliver other essential accounting and financial services as requested by clients.

Qualifications for Accountants Include:

+ Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or related field.

+ 5+ years of experiencein accounting or related field.

+ Strong comprehension of core accounting principles and fundamentals.

The following qualifications are preferred, but not required:

+ Knowledge and understanding of governmental accounting.

+ Active Certified Public Accountant (CPA) license.

+ Experience and/or training in FEMA Public Assistance program.

Compensation for Accountants Includes:

+ Salary Range of $60,000-$120,000.

+ Compensation decisions for all candidates depend on a wide range of factors, including but not limited to skills, experience and training, licensure and certifications, internal equity, location, travel requirements, and other business and organizational needs.
