This position is the primary point of contact for Environmental and Health & Safety (EHS) regulatory compliance for the Brown-Forman Distillery Operations in Louisville, Kentucky and is a member of the site Incident Response Teams. Identifies opportunities and leads projects to reduce or mitigate EHS risks, reduce the environmental impact of our production operations, and help us achieve our corporate sustainability ambitions.

What You Can Expect

+ Coordinates the on-time completion of all EHS regulatory requirements at sites, including audits, inspections, recordkeeping, reporting, and plan / permit maintenance.

+ Leads the implementation of projects and programs that advance the company’s environmental sustainability strategy and targets.

+ Leads the collection of site-level EHS performance data in support of the company’s reporting and disclosure obligations.

+ Supports site leadership during third-party or regulatory audits and leads prioritization and on-time completion of corrective actions for any issues identified during the audits.

+ Educates site employees on the importance of EHS compliance, sustainability programs and targets, and encourages feedback and participation by all employees.

+ Leads incident investigation processes for EHS incidents, and partners with site leadership teams to implement corrective actions and improve processes.

+ Supports capital project implementation by providing guidance and expertise on the EHS regulatory and sustainability impacts of proposed projects and expansions.

What You Bring to the Table

+ Demonstrated ability to build and maintain effective working relationships with regulatory agencies.

+ Demonstrated ability to review EHS regulations, legislation and permits, and identify critical compliance obligations and parameters that impact the affected site.

+ Proven track record of delivering engaging training programs.

+ Demonstrated ability to supervise external contractors and consultants to complete projects on-time and on-budget.

+ Strong computer skills with current, or the ability to quickly build, proficiency in Google Workspace.

What Makes You Unique

+ Experience meeting EHS compliance regulations at a beverage alcohol production site in Kentucky.

+ Demonstrated ability to successfully manage EHS risk mitigation and / or environmental sustainability projects at a manufacturing site.
