The International Accounting team is responsible for accounting reviews, consolidation and reporting for the company’s global operations. As a key member of our team, you will coordinate with international and local partners to support timely and accurate financial accounting and reporting for operations in North Bethesda headquarters & Europe regions.

Your Responsibilities
+ Prepare monthly journal entries in collaboration with the Europe regions and finance partners, ensuring integrity of account coding and intercompany balances.
+ Perform account analysis and balance sheet reconciliations.
+ Analyze financial statements of the international departments for deviation from plan and communicate or initiate any corrective actions.
+ Prepare recurring and ad hoc monthly reports, and schedules for inclusion in quarterly SEC reporting.
+ Collaborate with team members on projects and assist in continuous process improvement.
Your Experience, Skills & Competencies
+ Bachelor’s degree in accounting or equivalent experience.
+ At least 1 years’ experience in a combination of public accounting or relevant industry accounting (with general ledger experience) roles.
+ Proficient in Microsoft Excel and Word. Familiarity with Oracle ERP preferred.
+ Good organizational skills, attention to detail and the ability to multitask and prioritize.
+ Efficiently meet internal and external deadlines and operate in a fast-paced deadline-driven environment.
+ Good interpersonal skills.
Your Team
This is an individual contributor role that will report to the Senior Manager, International Accounting. You will have a peer teammate and collaborate with cross functional departments on a regular basis.
Your Work Location
As our Staff Accountant - International, you will be based in our beautiful, state-of-the-art worldwide corporate headquarters in North Bethesda, Maryland. Less than 15 miles from Washington, DC, we’re located directly across from the Rockville Metro station, with service on the Red Line and the MARC Brunswick line, easy access to I-270, and plenty of free parking provided by Choice Hotels.
Right now, our associates in Rockville, MD are working in a hybrid environment, between in the office and working virtually. We provide flexibility and encourage ongoing communication with your leadership to establish expectations about your unique needs.
Salary Range
The salary range for this position is $75,000 to $80,000 annually.
The pay range listed is for this position and is what Choice Hotels reasonably expects to pay. We may ultimately pay more or less than the posted range, and the range may be modified in the future. An employee’s pay position within the pay range will be based on several factors including, but not limited to, relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, geographic location, performance, shift, travel requirements, sales or revenue-based metrics, and business or organizational needs.
