    Manufacturing Summer Camp Lead Teachers - Focus Grades 7-12

     

    Program Dates: Week 1 - July 21 through July 24, 2025, Week 2- July 28 through July 31, 2025; Curriculum and Planning Time up to 30 hours between July 1 - July 18, 2025.

    Qualifications:

    • Current New York State Certificationin Technology Education or a Manufacturing-related CTE field. Preference for candidates with Work-Based Learning Certification, NYS Master Teacher status, and industry credentials in welding, machining, mechatronics, robotics, or Computer-Aided Manufacturing.

    • Curriculum Development Experiencein welding, machining, additive manufacturing, CAD, CNC programming, and high-tech manufacturing skills.

    • Safety Expertisein developing, implementing, and supervising safety protocols in a manufacturing education workspace.

    • Field Trip Coordinationability to arrange, coordinate, facilitate, and supervise visits to advanced manufacturing industry partners.

    • Hands-On Instructionexperience teaching middle and high school students in a workshop setting with a focus on career exploration.

    • Public Relations & Outreachskills to promote the camp through social media, articles, and community engagement.

    • Collaboration & Leadershipability to work with school programs, industry partners, and student-run enterprises like Bulldog Manufacturing and Robotics Team.

    • Procurement & Budget Managementability to identify, purchase, and manage equipment and materials while adhering to district purchasing and business protocols.
