DESCRIPTION:Rush-Henrietta Central School District is proud to announce a key leadership opening in our Department of Health, Physical Education, and Athletics. We are seeking a dynamic, visionary educator to serveas Assistant Director of Health, Physical Education, and Modified Sports. This critical role supports our mission to promote student wellness, physical literacy, and athletic excellence across all grade levels.This position offers the opportunity to influence both curriculum and athletic programming, with a particular focus on the growth and success of our Modified-level sports. The ideal candidate will be a collaborativeleader who is passionate about student development and committed to fostering inclusive, high-quality experiences that help all students thrive; physically, socially, and emotionally.SALARY:Competitive per Rush-Henrietta Administrators’ Contract, based on experience.QUALIFICATIONS:Applicants must hold New York State School District Leader (SDL) or School District Administrator (SDA) certification, as well as certification in Health and Physical Education. Preferred candidates will have experiencecoaching interscholastic athletics and demonstrate strong communication, organizational, and technology skills, especially with platforms like ArbiterSports and Google Workspace. The role requires a collaborative,student-centered leader committed to equity, holistic development, and continuous improvement, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and inspire excellence in health, physical education, and athletics.RESPONSIBILITIES:
+ Overseeing and supporting K-12 Health and Physical Education curriculum implementation and facilitation of monthly department meetings.
+ Leading strategic planning and daily management of all Modified-level sports programs.
+ Acting as a key liaison between coaches, families, and student-athletes to ensure effective communication and engagement.
+ Collaborating with building and district administrators to align health and athletics goals with districtwide educational priorities.
