We have an outstanding Contract position for aProduction Control Specialistto join a leading Company located in theGarden City, NYsurrounding area.

Pay Range: $26 - $32

We are seeking a Production Control Specialist to organize top-level planning to coordinate customer, material, and production requirements. We design and manufacture state-of-the-art plate-fin heat exchangers, cold plates, condensers, evaporators, and other heat transfer products. We provide custom design and engineering services, to high-quality manufacturing standards, for the aircraft, engine, and industrial heat exchangers in the mobile/marine/avionics/space and missile markets.

Responsibilities :

+ This position will create and maintain a production plan based on forecast , inventory levels, safety stock levels, and customer service levels while minimizing cost .

+ Performs diversified duties involving the coordination, issuance, and control of materials for the Business Segment Material Control Department.

+ Analyzes Oracle reports/output recommendations and releases production orders to manufacturing and assembly areas.

+ Release/Print work orders for the shop based on Oracle's “Make Action Report”.

+ Expedites “purchased” material components shortages with the appropriate supplier, as needed.

+ Expedites OSP items with the appropriate supplier.

+ Participates in daily scheduled factory order status meetings to achieve 100% on-time performance.

+ Participates as a team member on task forces to reduce costs, and inventory levels and improve on-time delivery of products to customers.

+ Place Purchase Orders with vendors & enter in Oracle.

+ Review and analyze Requisitions.

+ Review and analyze ‘Planner Analysis' for assigned Production Jobs.

+ Review and expedite ‘Buy Action Reports' and assigned vendors.

Basic Hiring Criteria :

+ Bachelor's degree in a technical discipline and 0-3 years of experience working in a Production Control / Planning, Purchasing, or Materials group in a manufacturing environment(equivalent experience will be considered).

+ Due to contracts with the United States Government, the candidate must be either a US Citizen or a Green card holder.

Desired Qualifications :

+ Strong communication, analysis, and math skills are a plus.

+ Data analysis skills using Excel or equivalent are required.

+ Accurate data entry skills.

+ Highly organized and able to multitask.

+ Ability to work independently with little to no supervision.

+ Ability to effectively troubleshoot problems.

+ Experience with ERP business systems is desirable.

+ Excel, PowerPoint, and Word experience required.

+ Familiarity with Oracle business system.
