    Description

    Position Summary:

    The Construction Technician I will assist the VP of Fitzhouse Enterprises, Inc. in refurbishing, remodeling and maintenance of all facilities owned and/or operated by WestCare and all related entities. This person is also responsible for supervising all general contractors, construction workers, remodeling, and maintenance teams on each job site.

    Essential Job Functions:

    + Determine methods, type of materials, supplies, machinery, equipment, and tools necessary for all projects.

    + Aid VP of Fitzhouse in new construction, refurbishing, and remodeling of all facilities owned and/or operated by WestCare and all related entities.

    + Create scope of work and materials take off for each project and review with VP of Fitzhouse

    + Plan and manage each facility project budget, and proper billing codes.

    + Daily Travel to job site is required, local, state, and regional.

     

    Administrative Job Functions

     

    + Interpret and implement management policies and directives to ensure that the Company’s operational and business goals are achieved.

    + Solicit and review responses to RFPs; make recommendations to VP of Fitzhouse regarding proposals.

    + Identify and collect pertinent data for analysis and create statistical spreadsheets and reports relating to special projects.

    + Respond to Regional Vice-Presidents’ concerns regarding facilities maintenance and safety issues by developing action plans and making recommendations to VP of Fitzhouse

    + Prepare and submit reports concerning compliance with State and Federal safety regulations, fire codes, employee safety training, and facility maintenance.

     

    General Job Functions

     

    + Attend all necessary meetings and training courses to gather information needed to satisfy WestCare facility requirements.

    + Develop, maintain, and upload all appropriate files, records, and documents regarding facility operations.

    + Maintain compliance with all lease and contractual expectations in relation to facility operations.

    + Uphold all WestCare policies, security, and non-disclosure policies at each facility.

    + Aid VP of Fitzhouse in maintaining WestCare security, Discrete Locking Key system.

    + Embrace and embody the mission, vision, guiding principles, clinical vision, and goals of WestCare Foundation and Fitzhouse Enterprises, Inc.

    + Maintain fleet vehicles, trailers, and storage containers.

    Qualifications

    Essential Qualifications:

    + Ability to pass a background check and fingerprint clearance.

    + 2-5 Years experience in facility remodeling, repairs and maintenance or equivalent fields of trade.

    + Valid Driver’s license

    + Ability to obtain a Real Drivers License or Passport for travel by May 2025

    + Ability to lead and also be part of the team.

    + Ability to exercise good judgment and discretion.

    + Knowledge of building, fire, and safety codes and regulations.

    + Ability to review and determine maintenance necessary to maintain safe facilities.

    + Ability to be aware of and adhere to specific timeframes, and time limitations.

    + Understanding of the types of programs WestCare operates.

    + The ability to conceptualize Quality Improvement plans and put them into operation.

    + Adherence to the highest standard of ethical conduct, especially to standards governing confidentiality.

    Education:

    Completion of a college or university program in business or in a discipline related to facility operation and maintenance, or an equivalent combination of technical training and work experience in related fields and maintenance.
