Sr Manager Strategic Initiatives & Operational Excellence

As a Strategic Project Management Leader, you play a pivotal role in driving key initiatives that align with our strategic goals. You oversee the structure, tools, and facilitation needed to ensure that strategic initiatives remain on track, empowering teams to make informed decisions and deliver high-quality results. Your scope includes managing commercial and end-to-end projects for key innovations, CBU priority initiatives, and divisional priorities outside of CBU. You are instrumental in timeline management, resource flow, risk management, budget oversight, quality assurance, and change management. You also support the CBU Steering Committee, providing visibility and connectivity across all sub-team outcomes and initiatives, ensuring strategic framing, cross-functional alignment, resource management, leadership communication, and continuous improvement. Additionally, you collaborate with Commercial Innovation and R&D to manage and govern the CBU innovation portfolio, driving synergies and supporting innovation strategy development.

YOUR TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

+ Oversee strategic project management, ensuring initiatives stay on track and empowering teams to make informed decisions;

+ Manage commercial and end-to-end projects, including timeline management, resource flow, risk assessment, budget oversight, quality assurance, and change management;

+ Support CBU Steering Committee to provide visibility and connectivity across sub-team outcomes and initiatives;

+ Facilitate strategic framing, cross-functional alignment, resource management, leadership communication, and continuous improvement;

+ Collaborate with Commercial Innovation and R&D to support CBU innovation portfolio management and governance oversight;

+ Drive synergies and support innovation strategy development across brands and categories;

+ Maintain innovation systems and reporting.

WHO YOU ARE:

Bayer seeks an incumbent who possesses the following:

Required Qualifications:

+ Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Engineering, or related field;

+ Broad understanding of functions such as marketing, R&D, product supply, and finance;

+ Proven track record in managing strategic initiatives and driving cross-functional alignment;

+ Strong leadership and communication skills to prepare compelling materials for stakeholder alignment and effective decision-making;

+ Ability to reflect, learn, and evolve ways of working to build long-term team effectiveness;

+ Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to manage changes to project scope, schedule, and resources effectively.

Preferred Qualifications:

+ MBA or advanced degree preferred;

+ 7+ years of experience in project management, strategic planning, or business operations, ideally in the CPG industry.

Employees can expect to be paid a salary between $151135.50 - 226703.24. Additional compensation may include a bonus or commission (if relevant). Other benefits include health care, vision, dental, retirement, PTO, sick leave, etc. If selected for this role, the offer may vary based on market data/ranges, an applicant’s skills and prior relevant experience, certain degrees and certifications, and other relevant factors.
