    Job Summary

    Experienced neuroscientist to study electrophysiologic and behavioral signatures of a genetic model of Smith-Magenis syndrome in nile grass rats.

    Responsibilities*

    + Will perform surgeries on rodents to enable electroencephalographic and deep-brain recordings.

    + Will then perform those recordings over days-to-weeks timespans, will process output and analyze results.

    Required Qualifications*

    + PhD in Neuroscience.

    + At least 5 years of experience with rodent brain surgeries, neural data analysis and coding experience.

     

    Work Schedule

     

    9-5, Mon-Fri, or another distribution of 40 hours per week.

    Background Screening

     

    Michigan Medicine conducts background screening and pre-employment drug testing on job candidates upon acceptance of a contingent job offer and may use a third-party administrator to conduct background screenings.
