    Job Summary

    Work with the Fellowship and Residency Program Directors and Associate Program Directors to provide independent programmatic management of the ACGME programs, including maintaining accreditation requirements.

    Responsibilities*

    Sports Fellowship Program

    + Manage the annual cohort of Orthopaedic Sports Medicine Fellows (2)

    + Coordinate and oversee the planning and execution of the annual recruitment process, including creating content for recruitment materials, in person/onsite coordination of recruitment dinners and interviews, initial screening of applications to ensure they meet academic and institutional requirements, and potential interactions with GME and the UM International Center to coordinate training visas for incoming fellows

    + Coordinate the onboarding and offboarding of Sports Medicine Fellows, including timely management of all credentialing and privileging requirements.

    + Determine orientation needs and create orientation schedule for incoming fellows

    + Coordinating, recording, and taking minutes for designated meetings

    + Maintain program data, website, alumni database, and annual updates, as well as prepare annual ACGME and internal GME reviews of the program.

    + Participate in program-level policy development, ensure adherence to policy, including departmental, institutional, HOA, and federal regulations.

    + Keep abreast of changes in the ACGME and GME requirements and maintain recommendations for policy change appropriately.

    + Manage the evaluation process of trainees, faculty, rotations, and program overall. Ensure all evaluations are completed

    + Assist Program Director with planning of annual Big10 Fellow Exchange (including itinerary planning, expense reimbursements, and lunches/dinners)

    + Provide advanced, diversified, and confidential administrative support to fellows including event coordination (support and attendance for recruitment, graduation and other wellness events), coordinate travel reimbursement, etc.

    + In partnership with the Program Director, develop, submit and track applications for external funding opportunities to support the fellowship.

    + In partnership with the Program Director, develop and update Fellowship Program budget of all expenses as well as FTE analysis.

    Residency Program

    + Coordination of overall resident education calendar (planning of

    + execution of monthly didactics (obtaining plans, distributing session details/materials, tracking attendance to ensure compliance with educational requirements, and collecting feedback)

    + Facilitate the development, planning, and implementation of multiple curricula for resident education (leadership, research, intern skills) in collaboration with faculty leads

    + Support educational partnership activities including Nth Dimensions Summer Internship for visiting medical students and the annual Bioskills workshop

    + Manage Grand Rounds including weekly event support, creating the annual Grand Rounds schedule and coordinate incoming Grand Rounds speakers? visits (arranging travel, hotel, transportation, and processing honorariums)

    + Work with chief residents to coordinate on-call schedules and enter into UM Paging System and internal department calendars

    + Organization and implementation of resident 6-month evaluations including scheduling of meetings with Program Director and Associate Program Director, preparation of forms and documentation

    + Coordinate monthly class dinners with Program Director

    + Facilitate intern surgical skills training in coordination with the Faculty Lead

    + Ensure resident compliance by sending routine reminders to as necessary for meetings, educational events, logging of duty hours, anatomy and research plans, etc.

    Required Qualifications*

    + High School diploma or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

    + Outstanding organizational skills and attention to detail, with a record of timely delivery of high-quality deliverables.

    + Excellent computer skills including Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Acrobat and Acrobat Reader, Outlook, etc.

    + Proven ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks with competing deadlines, work effectively with frequent interruptions, and able to escalate issues as needed.

    + Works well both independently and in collaboration with faculty and staff as a team member.

    + Ability to adapt to different working styles and personalities.

    + Outstanding interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills.

    + Positive attitude and customer service oriented.

    Desired Qualifications*

    + 3-5 years of professional/administrative experience preferably in a healthcare and/or education setting.

    + Knowledge of University policies and procedures as well as university systems including MPathways, Emburse Enterprise , Wolverine Access.

    + GME experience including knowledge of ACGME rules and regulations and experience working with resident management system (MedHub).

    Background Screening
