This position offers a unique opportunity to work on critical aircraft subsystem design and integration, including fuel, hydraulics, mechanical controls, and environmental control systems.

This is not an airframe design role. Instead, the focus is on the systems that enable peak aircraft performance—bringing together engineering precision, innovation, and cross-functional collaboration in a fast-paced and rewarding environment.

    Role Overview

As a key contributor within the Air Vehicle Systems Engineering team, you will be responsible for the development and release of 3D designs, model-based definitions, and structural provisions that support critical aircraft systems. You will work closely with cross-disciplinary teams and suppliers to ensure quality, compliance, and timely delivery of engineering solutions aligned with program objectives.

    Primary Responsibilities:

+ Design and route 3D models for electrical and fluid conveyance systems

+ Develop model-based definitions, including 2D and 3D annotations for components and assemblies

+ Perform trade studies and analysis to support structural bracket and provision design

+ Collaborate with engineering, manufacturing, and supply chain teams to address technical challenges

+ Support supplier and teammate integration activities

+ Ensure compliance with engineering standards, customer specifications, and regulatory requirements

+ Mentor junior engineers and contribute to team-wide technical leadership

+ Manage design activities within defined cost and schedule constraints

    Candidate Qualifications

    Required:

+ Minimum 5 years of aerospace or relevant industry experience in systems design

+ Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering (other technical degrees considered with applicable experience)

    + Proficiency in CATIA V5, V6, or 3DEXPERIENCE

+ Expertise in electrical harness, piping, and tubing design

+ Strong understanding of GD&T and mechanical design principles

+ Demonstrated ability to effectively communicate and coordinate across technical teams

+ Experience developing and managing engineering deliverables in a collaborative environment

    Preferred:

+ Prior experience with advanced aircraft subsystem development

+ Familiarity with model-based engineering and systems integration practices

+ Leadership or mentoring experience within an engineering design environment

    Why This Role?

This position offers a rare opportunity to work on advanced aerospace programs with a forward-leaning organization focused on innovation and technical excellence. You will contribute to systems critical to aircraft performance and mission success while enjoying a supportive, collaborative, and high-performing engineering culture.

    Key Highlights:

+ Involvement in the development of next-generation vertical lift platforms, including MV-75 and SPRINT

+ Flexible **9x80 schedule** with every other Friday off

+ Competitive hourly compensation based on experience and qualifications
