    **_Our Caterpillar Remanufacturing Division currently has an opening for a Student Project Intern position located in the Corinth, MS facility_** . This position will provide the opportunity to learn engine assembly processes and help to identify opportunities to improve efficiency. This project will incorporate opportunities for project management, collaboration, lean manufacturing skills, problem solving, line balancing and capacity planning.

    Session Availability

    **Summer 2025:** June 16, 2025 to August 8, 2025

     

    This is a 40-hour-per-week assignment, Monday through Friday, lasting 8 weeks in the summer.

    Qualifications

    Skills and Experiences: In this role, you will have the opportunity to contribute your unique skills and experience. Below are some of the most critical skills:

     

    + Project Management

    + Testing/Troubleshooting

    + Attention to detail

    Internship Qualifications:

    + Currently enrolled in a full-time, four-year accredited college or university or graduate school in a relevant degree program.

    + Minimum 3.0/4.0 Cumulative GPA (no rounding).

    + Expected graduation date of Summer 2026 and beyond

    + Proficient in Microsoft 365 tools (Outlook, Excel), Python

    Top Candidates will also have:

    + Tenacious desire to closely adhere to all safety regulations and policies, as well as robust incident prevention skills.

    + Strong interpersonal and communication skills.

    + Ability to think critically in difficult situations with minimal support or instruction.

    + Strong internal drive to succeed, combined with impeccable personal integrity and unflappable accountability for results.

    + Experience with manufacturing/remanufacturing

    Job duties/responsibilities may include, but are not limited to:

    + Learn engine assembly processes and determine opportunities for improvement

    + Apply lean manufacturing principles for waste elimination

    + Project management and collaboration with internal stakeholders

    + Identifying and implementing process improvements for line balancing, capacity and manpower planning

    + Tracking and analyzing metrics to measure the effectiveness of operations.

    Summary Pay Range:

    $21.00 - $36.50

     

    Compensation and benefits offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, job level, market location, job-related knowledge, skills, individual performance and experience. Please note that salary is only one component of total compensation at Caterpillar.
