Job Summary
The Supply Chain Manager – Aftermarket plays a critical role in managing and leading both strategic and operational aspects of the supply chain for Aftermarket Support and Order Fulfillment. This position demands a proactive leader with the ability to manage cross-functional teams, collaborate with domestic and international suppliers, and align supply chain activities with overall product development and company objectives. The role encompasses end-to-end oversight of Aftermarket fulfillment processes and a focus on driving continuous improvement initiatives.
Key Duties and Responsibilities
+ Lead Aftermarket order fulfillment by working closely with Commodity Leads and Buyers to ensure supply chain strategies and actions meet demand requirements.
+ Oversee requisition activities, emphasizing inventory optimization, scrap reduction, and overall cost efficiency.
+ Manage and coordinate purchasing activities to ensure alignment with company goals for cost-effectiveness, quality, and on-time delivery.
+ Facilitate a smooth transition from sourcing and procurement to ensure After Market demand is addressed promptly and effectively.
+ Drive program-level obsolescence mitigation strategies through collaboration with key stakeholders to support data-driven decisions and inventory disposition.
+ Ensure timely and accurate communication of part availability with the Aftermarket team to maintain transparency and customer satisfaction.
+ Partner with the Sourcing Team to manage supplier relationships, ensuring that suppliers are aligned with both production and Aftermarket demand priorities.
+ Support supplier quality standards and coordinate closely with quality, production, planning, and materials teams to resolve issues.
+ Proactively monitor and address parts shortages by prioritizing purchasing activities and implementing effective tools for supplier performance tracking.
+ Lead issue resolution and communication efforts for potential part problems that could impact Aftermarket support.
+ Foster a high-performance, collaborative team culture through effective mentorship, coaching, and regular performance feedback.
+ Perform change impact assessments to identify how changes affect scope, timelines, and costs; report findings to stakeholders.
+ Contribute to the creation and maintenance of project metrics, schedules, and reporting tools using applications such as MS Project and Power BI.
+ Present tactical metrics during Monthly Business Reviews and to Integrated Product Teams to support informed decision-making.
+ Lead continuous improvement efforts aimed at optimizing processes, reducing waste, and enhancing overall After Market performance.
+ Maintain professional communication across all organizational levels, ensuring clarity and alignment in updates and project statuses.
+ Develop, document, and refine business processes that support overall supply chain department goals and functions.
+ Assist in tracking program-level budgets, ensuring adherence to forecasted expenses, revenue targets, and capitalization objectives.
+ Execute strategic plans and implement tactical actions to achieve defined program deliverables.
Qualifications and Requirements
+ Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business, Operations, Economics, Manufacturing, Industrial Engineering, or a related field is required; Master’s degree is preferred.
+ Minimum of 5 years of experience in a supply chain management role or related field.
+ APICS CPIM certification is preferred.
+ PMP certification is preferred; required within 12 months of hire.
+ Strong proficiency in MRP/ERP systems, inventory planning methodologies (such as Pull/Kanban and Two-Bin systems), and working with Bills of Materials (BOM).
+ Solid understanding of complex engineering structures, manufacturing process control, and technical documentation.
+ Proven experience in managing large-scale programs and cross-functional initiatives, including change management and capability development.
+ Demonstrated skills in negotiation, communication, decision-making, and problem-solving.
+ Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) with strong written and verbal communication abilities.
+ Experience in risk management, team supervision, financial modeling, and business proposal development is preferred.
+ Experience leading cross-functional teams and managing complex, multi-phase projects.
+ Ability to make data-driven decisions using KPIs, performance metrics, and analytical tools.
+ Background in supplier management, cost control, and quality assurance.
+ Familiarity with project management platforms including MS Project, Risk Management Tools, IMS, and RAIL.
+ Ability to align program-level planning and resource allocation with organizational strategy.
