Waltonen Engineering is actively seeking a Business Development Manager to join our team! We are looking for individuals with a proven network of contacts or clients within the aerospace, defense, and government industries. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in tooling or fixture sales and possess excellent communication and relationship-building skills.

Responsibilities

+ Build, grow, and leverage a diverse client base beyond the automotive sector, focusing on industries such as Aerospace, Defense, Government, and Energy.

+ Utilize your network to identify and secure new business opportunities.

+ Drive sales growth through proactive engagement with customer contacts.

+ Develop tailored sales strategies to meet client needs and exceed sales targets.

+ Prepare and present compelling responses to RFPs, RFIs, and unsolicited proposals.

+ Collaborate with internal teams to ensure proposals are comprehensive and competitive.

+ Develop and implement strategic account and market segment plans to achieve company revenue goals.

+ Track and report on sales performance metrics.

+ Represent Waltonen Engineering at industry trade shows and events.

+ Stay updated on industry trends, competitor activities, and emerging technologies.

Qualifications

+ Minimum of 2 years of relevant sales experience.

+ Established network of contacts outside the automotive industry, such as aerospace, defense, government, etc.

+ Strong background in tooling or fixture sales

+ Superior sales ability, management skills, and leadership qualities

+ Excellent verbal and written skills

+ Excellent interpersonal and communication skills

+ Financial, business planning, presentation, and negotiation skills

+ Strong organizational skills with the ability to multi-task

+ Ability to work independently and complete duties and projects with little direct supervision

+ Expertise in Microsoft Suite, CRM, and social media tools

+ A willingness to travel as necessary
