Overview
Publicis Imagine is looking for a talented Associate Media Director, Commerce Strategy to manage the day-to-day Media Planning and Strategy functions for a high profile and fast-paced Consumer Products account. This person will lead a team in the development, execution, and stewardship of media plans for client’s business. The AMD effectively leverages experience, knowledge and skills to push fresh thinking while balancing client, agency, and team needs with the assistance of the SVP/EVP. This position reports directly to the SVP, Strategy. This role will also heavily support the various client commerce teams.
Additionally, this AMD role acts as a part of the Customer Engagement team. This role would closely work with various client teams to strategically build channel mixes, guide creative messaging based on audience insights and trends. Key aspects of the role include Social Strategy, innovation & tactical planning. The AMD would help drive the growth of our clients’ Social commerce strategies across key platforms. The AMD role will also manage client relationships, ensuring that strategies are aligned with business objectives, and will be responsible for driving growth and engagement through Social commerce, creator content and innovative shoppable tactics.
This role is responsible for tasks including but not limited to – being the main point of content for the various client teams, overseeing all franchise-specific media campaigns from planning through reporting, including audience strategy, tactical planning, messaging & budgeting. This role manages the Planner who will be responsible for all launch tasks & communication between Marketing Strategy & Activation teams.
Responsibilities
+ Implement effective marketing strategies and lead all day-to-day aspects of planning across multiple campaigns
+ Develop planning objectives that align with and elevate the client’s marketing and commerce business goals
+ Act as the cross-team leader, integrating all aspects of media to define and execute campaigns
+ Establish and grow client relationships by demonstrating an understanding of industry and client business issues
+ Work with internal investment teams to gauge media performance and KPIs to determine the extent to which the original objectives and strategies were met
+ Following detailed instructions and using established procedures, completes work in a detailed and complete manner
+ Supervising, training and developing skills of Associates, Planners and Supervisors by managing workload, delegating responsibilities and checking work for accuracy
+ Provide job performance feedback to subordinates to manage career trajectory of the junior staff and make recommendations to management
+ Oversee the process and procedure for client set up, billing and all administrative functions
+ Responsible for managing projects and resources for all aspects impacting the client’s business such as developing thought leadership decks ranging from shoppable commerce capabilities across key partners to key holiday commerce insights
+ Participate in the recruitment and selection of junior staff
+ Mentor and guide direct reports to ensure proper education for advancement
+ Lead by example assisting in all levels of the planning and activation process
+ Effectively communicate across all levels and be willing to adopt new skills
+ Detailed awareness of media landscape, trends, challenges and competition
+ Strong knowledge of all cross-channel media with an emphasis on Social Media/Commerce capabilities, with a drive for curiosity and passion for the client’s business
Qualifications
+ B.A. or B.S., preferably in Marketing, Advertising, or related field
+ 6+ years of media planning experience
+ 2+ years of experience managing junior staff
+ Agency experience highly preferred
+ Computer Skills/Software Knowledge: Microsoft Suite, Nielsen Suite, Kantar, IMS, Flowchart Software, R/F and Optimization Software, Social Tracking tools, comScore, Prisma, Mbox, MRI/GfK, GWI
+ Strong understanding of Social Media platforms (Instagram, Facebook, TikTok, Pinterest etc.) and Social Commerce features (shoppable posts, livestreams, etc.)
+ High-level understanding of e-commerce tools (e.g., Shopify, Circana) is a plus!
+ Ability to translate data into well-articulated and actionable ideas
+ Strong written and verbal skills, with ability to present to clients, maintain client correspondence and internal documentation
+ Minimal supervision, relies on experience/ judgment
+ Resource for others in resolution of complex problems/issues
+ Excellent management, motivational, organizational, interpersonal and quantitative/analytical skills
+ Detail-oriented and proven ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment

Compensation Range: $105,165 - $165,485 . This is the pay range the Company believes it will pay for this position at the time of this posting. Consistent with applicable law, compensation will be determined based on the skills, qualifications, and experience of the applicant along with the requirements of the position, and the Company reserves the right to modify this pay range at any time. Temporary roles may be eligible to participate in our freelancer/temporary employee medical plan through a third-party benefits administration system once certain criteria have been met. Temporary roles may also qualify for participation in our 401(k) plan after eligibility criteria have been met. For regular roles, the Company will offer medical coverage, dental, vision, disability, 401k, and paid time off.
