About the Unit
Our Radiation Oncology department consists of three outpatient locations in Holland, Grand Rapids, and Reed City. The candidate should be open to travel to all of the three locations.
About Outpatient Clinics
Corewell Health operates over 300 outpatient clinics across Michigan, bringing a multitude of care options to the communities that we serve. There are over 40 different types of primary care and specialty practices, which allows those who work in these clinics the opportunity to learn and explore various interests or to specialize in one area
Scope of Work
The nurse’s role in Radiation Oncology is patient focused, putting best practice first to guide the patient on what to expect before, during, and after radiation treatment. Assessment, patient education, coordination of care, and procedural assistance are the main focus of the nurse for patients with malignant as well as some non-malignant diagnosis. Our team strengths include compassion, teamwork, and collaborative learning to ensure high quality outcomes for our patients. Our nurses enjoy relationship-based patient care while in a supported environment as well as flexible scheduling to accommodate their assignment. This is an opportunity to build on your oncology knowledge and put your nursing skills into action to make a meaningful difference for our patients in Radiation Oncology.
Qualifications
+ Required Associate's Degree Nursing
+ Bachelors of Science in Nursing must be obtained within 5 years required
+ LIC-Registered Nurse (RN) - STATE_MI State of Michigan Upon Hire required
+ CRT-Basic Life Support (BLS) - AHA American Heart Association 90 Days required or CRT-Basic Life Support (BLS) - ARC American Red Cross 90 Days required
+ CRT-Respiratory Therapist Registry - NBRC National Board for Respiratory Care90 Days preferred
