RESPONSIBILITIES

I. JOB SUMMARY/RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Assists the Director in the direction, coordination, development and leadership of the Human Resources Business Partners (HRBP) and related programs.

• Collaborates with leaders, HR Centers of Excellence, and other HR leaders to implement key HR initiatives and solutions that advance business objectives, as well as system and people strategies.

• Leads employee and labor relations activities, including employee investigations, grievances, and corrective action. Communicates outcomes with employees, unions, and leadership.

• Ensures alignment across all entities. Integrates effective HR processes, programs and practices into business operations.

• Actively promotes organizational change, supports new ways of working and works toward continuous improvement within HR to provide a high quality, professional, consistent, and cohesive HRBP service.

• Serves as a trusted resource and partner to assigned business unit leaders to provide expert advice and recommended solutions on the full spectrum of talent and labor relations issues, and compliance with policies, procedures and regulatory requirements.

II. TYPICAL PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

• Finger dexterity, seeing, hearing, speaking.

• Constant: sitting, static gripping of an object for prolonged periods.

• Occasional: walking, standing, stooping/bending, climbing stairs, walking on uneven ground, lifting and carrying usual weight of 1 pound up to 5 pounds, reaching above, at and below shoulder level, frequent gripping of an object.

III. TYPICAL WORKING CONDITIONS:

• Not substantially subjected to adverse environmental conditions.

IV. MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

A. EDUCATION/CERTIFICATION AND LICENSURE:

• Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business, Heath administration, Communications, Organizational Development, Psychology or related field.

• Advanced degree and/or professional certifications (i.e. SHRM-CP, SHRM-SCP, PHR, SPHR, Organizational Design and Development certification) highly desirable.

B. EXPERIENCE:

• Minimum of five (5) years of experience as an HR Business Partner, HR Generalist, or five (5) years of experience in at least two (2) human resource disciplines (talent relations, talent management, acquisition, compensation, benefits, organizational development, labor relations, etc.).

• Two (2) years of experience in a leadership or supervisory capacity.

• Health care industry is highly desirable.

• Experience to demonstrate knowledge of employment laws (EEO, ADA, AA, FMLA, etc.) and other regulatory and statutory requirements.

• Strong interpersonal skills; demonstrated ability to quickly develop a rapport, garner trust and respect of business unit leaders. Builds and maintains strong working partnerships and enhances relationships with a collaborative and consultative approach.

• Excellent problem-solving skills; demonstrated ability to identify root cause issues, frame issues in context, and designs solutions to align with the highest priorities of the business.

• Demonstrated leadership skills, program design and development, facilitation and presentation skills; customer negotiations/needs assessment skills; problem solving and decision-making skills.

• Demonstrated proficiency and expertise with personal computers and Microsoft applications (Outlook, Word, Excel, and Power Point) or similar software.
