Position Summary...
The Senior Manager of Data Governance will lead and oversee Sourcing’s data governance strategy, ensuring data quality, consistency, and compliance across all business units. This role is responsible for implementing data governance frameworks, policies, and standards that align with the company's strategic objectives. The Senior Manager will work closely with cross-functional teams to promote data stewardship, enforce data governance practices, and drive the adoption of data governance tools and methodologies. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of data management principles, strong leadership skills, and the ability to influence and engage stakeholders at all levels of the organization.
The Data Governance team is dedicated to ensuring the integrity, availability, and security of the organization’s data assets. Composed of experienced data professionals, the team develops and enforces data governance policies, standards, and best practices to support Sourcing’s strategic goals. We work collaboratively with various departments to promote data stewardship, manage data quality, and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements. Our mission is to create a data-driven culture where data is trusted, well-managed, and used effectively to drive business insights and decision-making. What you'll do...
+ **Data Source Identification:** Lead data source evaluation, collaborate with teams, and conduct initial quality checks to ensure data meets business requirements and is reliable
+ **Data Strategy:** Develop and implement data governance frameworks, policies, and standards to align with strategic goals, drive data-driven decision-making, and unlock monetary value from data assets while meeting regulatory requirements
+ **Tech problem formulation and data visualization:** Translate business problems into data-related solutions, providing thought leadership on analytics and automation techniques, and implementing advanced data visualization tools to effectively communicate insights and drive decision-making.
+ **Data Quality Management:** Develop and enforce data quality standards, educate on data governance, and manage data quality issues, while also evaluating and translating business requirements into data governance strategies and building business cases for data governance projects
+ **Leadership and Collaboration** : Lead a team of data professionals, mentor, and promote a culture of innovation and accountability, while collaborating with stakeholders to implement data governance initiatives.
What you'll bring:
+ Data Governance Expertise: In-depth understanding of data governance frameworks, policies, and best practices.
+ Data Management Skills: Proficiency in data management principles, including data quality, integration, modeling, and architecture.
+ Database Technologies: Strong knowledge of SQL, NoSQL, and distributed datastores.
+ Business Acumen: Strong understanding of business contexts, industry factors, and relevant metrics to align data governance practices with strategic objectives.
+ Proven experience in leading and managing data governance projects, including developing business cases, setting priorities, and delivering results, with familiarity with regulatory and ethical requirements related to data privacy, security, storage, and retention.
+ Leadership Skills: Proven experience in leading and managing data governance projects, with excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

The annual salary range for this position is $90,000.00-$180,000.00
Additional compensation includes annual or quarterly performance bonuses.

Minimum Qualifications...

Option 1: Bachelor's degree in Business, Engineering, Statistics, Economics, Analytics, Mathematics, Arts, Finance or related field and 4 years' experience in data analysis, data science, statistics, or related field. Option 2: Master's degree in Business, Engineering, Statistics, Economics, Analytics, Mathematics, Computer Science, Information Technology or related field and 2 years' experience in data analysis, data science, statistics, or related field. Option 3: 6 years' experience in data analysis, data science, statistics, or related field.
1 year's supervisory experience.
