HR & STRATEGIC TALENT MANAGEMENT (HR-STM) ASSISTANT, Alumni Association HR & Strategic Talent Management, under minimal supervision and with a focus on customer service, will perform complex and diverse responsibilities in support of the Executive Director (ED) and the Human Resources and Strategic Talent Management (HR & STM) team for the Office for Resource Development (RD) and the MIT Alumni Association (MITAA). Primary responsibilities include: managing the ED’s calendar, scheduling interviews, processing employment-related notifications, posting and advertising jobs, updating intranet content, handling logistics for training sessions and meetings, and participating in special projects.
Job Requirements
REQUIRED: High school diploma or equivalent; minimum of three years of administrative or HR experience; wide-ranging knowledge of office procedures; ability to work collaboratively as part of a team in a service-oriented environment; ability to multi-task, prioritize assignments, and meet deadlines without compromising quality in a demanding, high-volume work environment; ability to manage tasks independently while contributing positively to a collaborative team environment; excellent writing and proofing skills, including a robust attention to grammar, spelling, and accuracy; solid interpersonal skills, particularly the ability to establish effective working relationships with colleagues and other constituents; initiative, be detail-oriented, efficient, resourceful, and able to handle diversified tasks; demonstrated ability to work with confidential information; and proficiency with computers and standard applications including Microsoft Office Suite (e.g., Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint) and Zoom.
