Job Summary

Chartwells at Peru Community Schools in Peru, IN is on the hunt for a passionate and driven Director of Dining Services to lead our food service operations across three schools, serving over 1,800 students every day. If you're a natural leader with a flair for financial savvy, relationship building, and team inspiration, this is your chance to make a real impact! You’ll guide a dedicated team of 25 frontline associates and an Assistant Director, crafting fun, student-friendly menus while ensuring top-notch service and compliance with NSLP guidelines. With a focus on boosting student participation and creating a positive, collaborative culture, this role is perfect for someone who thrives on innovation, connection, and leading with purpose.

Key Responsibilities:

* Lead, mentor, and inspire our team of up to 25 frontline associates

* Drive critical initiatives to enhance customer satisfaction and increase profitability.

* Recruit, train, and develop top talent within the organization.

* Oversees the annual budget and control costs.

* Ensure adherence to quality, safety, and sanitation standards.

* Build strong relationships with clients, customers, and associates.

* Performs other duties as assigned to support the efficient functioning of a dining service operation.

Preferred Qualifications:

* Minimum of an Associate's degree in Food Services/Management/Hospitality/Culinary/Nutrition necessary or equivalent experience preferred.**

* Three plus years of foodservice management experience, prefers K12.

* Knowledge of high-volume food production is preferred.

* Previous P&L accountability or contract-managed services experience.

* Exceptional leadership and communication skills.

* Proficiency in computer skills.
