    + Schedule: Full time and part time schedules. Days may vary, 11:45 am - 8:15 pm. Must be able to work weekends. More details upon interview.

    + Requirement: Must have NYS massage therapy or esthetican license.

    + Pay Rate: $40.00 per hour.

    Job Summary

    Summary:

    Utilizes proper body mechanics to assist patients in and out of the bed and/or chair. Provides support while walking patients for a designated period of time.

    Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

    + Walks with patients based on physician’s orders.

    + Applies body mechanics, transfer techniques, and use of assistive devices as needed to assist a patient walk in the facility for a designated period based on the clinical care plan.

    + Adhere to daily schedule for patient ambulation.

    + Adhere to safety protocols when patient has been identified by medical personnel as a fall risk.

    + Completes any required documentation regarding ambulation for patient’s medical records.

    + Performs other duties as assigned.

    Qualifications:

    + Excellent communication skills.

    + Ability to walk or stand for prolonged periods.

    + Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.

    + High School Diploma, GED or equivalent combination of education and experience
