HBO Max originally launched in the United States in May 2020 and introduced a lower priced, advertising-supported tier in June 2021. It rolled out globally across Latin America and the Caribbean in 2021, followed by its first European launches in the Nordics and Spain later that year. In May 2023, Warner Bros. Discovery introduced Max, an enhanced streaming platform, in the U.S. HBO Max is currently available in 46 countries and there are plans for the continued global expansion of Max in 2024.
Meet Our Team:
The Media Supply Chain Engineering team builds the applications and services that power Warner Bros Discovery’s content supply chain. Our applications cover the entire breadth of the media supply chain, from idea to distribution. We have a robust global community of thousands of internal Warner Bros Discovery users who rely on our apps every day to get television produced, on the air, and onto Max.
Role Overview:
As the Technical Program Management lead for WBD’s global media supply chain, you will work with development leaders, product managers, Content Operations, Media Logistics, and other stakeholders to drive a portfolio of critical programs across the breadth of content management tools at WBD. Through inspired leadership of your team, you will influence the building of new tools, the convergence of existing systems and lines of business, and the fulfillment of WBD’s content across the globe.
**Position summary:** You are an accomplished senior technical program management leader who is deeply familiar with supporting a large-scale development organization. You have experience running a portfolio of critical programs that are integral to the success of the company. You can easily handle complex dependencies both internally within our team and externally across many teams, and you have an inner sense of how to prioritize, manage key program risks , and escalate appropriately. You work easily with all levels of the organization and are comfortable presenting Media Supply Chain’s work equally with small teams across the company and with the most senior levels of the organization.
Key Responsibilities:
+ Lead a team of technical program managers and program managers to drive significant projects and support their career development.
+ Ensure that TPMs focus on critical business commitments and partner with stakeholders to manage project intake, prioritization, conflict resolution, and communication.
+ Collaborate with operations, product, design, and engineering teams to plan, resource, and execute programs for content acquisition, media transformation, scheduling, content preparation, and fulfillment.
+ Engage with engineering teams to build alignment around content workflows and advance initiatives in a dynamic and rapidly scaling environment.
+ Define the software lifecycle and reporting mechanisms for a group with numerous scrum teams and complex interrelationships between tools and workflows.
+ Continuously iterate and improve tools to enable Warner Bros. Discovery to scale its digital products globally.
+ Create a clear framework of communication within the team and with stakeholders and upper management to ensure transparency, alignment, and effective collaboration.
Requirements:
+ Experience with global software deployments, including localization and regional complexity.
+ Deep understanding of media workflows, content management systems, and direct-to -consumer services, with a keen awareness of industry trends.
+ Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, comfortable working with engineering teams and presenting to executive leadership.
+ Ability to balance long-term vision and OKRs with short-term business objectives .
+ Iterative approach to software delivery.
+ 10 + years of experience leading software engineering teams to deliver complex initiatives under deadline pressure.
+ Experience in a major media production company or SVOD service is preferred.
+ BS/MS in Computer Science or a related technical field.

In compliance with local law, we are disclosing the compensation, or a range thereof, for roles in locations where legally required. Actual salaries will vary based on several factors, including but not limited to external market data, internal equity, location, skill set, experience, and/or performance. Base pay is just one component of Warner Bros. Discovery’s total compensation package for employees. Pay Range: $212,100.00 - $393,900.00 salary per year. Other rewards may include annual bonuses, short- and long-term incentives, and program-specific awards. In addition, Warner Bros. Discovery provides a variety of benefits to employees, including health insurance coverage, an employee wellness program, life and disability insurance, a retirement savings plan, paid holidays and sick time and vacation.
