Drive the future of the digital workplace by leading the strategy, design, and delivery of end user computing (EUC) solutions across one or more major lines of business. As a visionary leader, you will define and execute the roadmap for Digital Workplace Engineering—establishing high-impact standards, streamlining operational processes, and continuously elevating service quality, user experience, and risk posture.
Partner closely with senior executives and business leaders to translate strategic objectives into transformative IT solutions. Act as a trusted advisor and advocate for the business, ensuring the right investments are made in modern workplace technologies that empower productivity, enhance security, and accelerate digital transformation.
Oversee the seamless integration of people, processes, and technology to deliver secure, scalable, and high-performing Digital Workplace platforms—including Windows, macOS, iOS, mobile device management, and virtual desktop infrastructure (VDI). Champion a culture of innovation and operational excellence, with a relentless focus on measurable business value and exceptional user experience.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

1. Define and lead the strategic direction for Digital Workplace Engineering, ensuring alignment with enterprise business goals and technology standards. Provide thought leadership in shaping the long-term IT roadmap, with a focus on delivering secure, scalable, and user-centric end user computing solutions.
2. Stay at the forefront of emerging technologies, workplace trends, and industry developments. Leverage this insight to proactively identify opportunities to enhance the digital workplace experience and drive innovation across the enterprise.
3. Oversee the full lifecycle of digital workplace solution delivery—from architecture and engineering to partnering with Workplace Enablement for implementation and support. Make strategic decisions on build vs. buy, internal vs. external resources, and cloud adoption to ensure optimal outcomes aligned with business priorities.
4. Act as a trusted advisor to senior executives and business leaders. Collaborate to understand critical business needs and translate them into effective, forward-thinking IT solutions that enhance productivity, security, and digital transformation
5. Lead the design and delivery of modern workplace platforms, including Windows, macOS, iOS, mobile device management, and virtual desktop infrastructure (VDI). Ensure solutions are flexible, cost-effective, and aligned with enterprise architecture standards.
6. Develop and manage budgets, ensuring alignment with strategic goals and operational efficiency. Oversee salary planning and resource allocation to support high-performing teams and sustainable growth.
7. Inspire and lead a team of engineering professionals. Provide coaching, performance management, and career development opportunities. Foster a culture of innovation, accountability, and continuous improvement.
8. Manage the lifecycle of existing Digital Workplace systems and assess the need for new capabilities. Ensure platforms remain functional, secure, and adaptable to evolving business needs.
9. Own the first line of defense for risk management within the Digital Workplace domain. Proactively identify and mitigate risks, and partner with audit, compliance, and regulatory teams to ensure adherence to enterprise standards and policies.
Note: The difference between Group Head 1 and Group Head 2 is scope, such as size of budget and headcount, and complexity of the business line and related technologies.
QUALIFICATIONS
Required Qualifications:
The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill and/or ability required. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.
1. Equivalent combination of advanced education and related experience, which could include any combination of: Ten years’ experience managing software engineers and systems analysts, Five years’ relevant business experience (i.e. making technical-related decisions on the business side), Fiveyears’ managing a large staff, (including managing managers), and Five years’ experience with budget responsibilities
2. Ability to translate enterprise level strategic planning information into software and data management needs, create business plans, and turn them into effective business solutions
3. Executive level communications skills, including, strong negotiation/facilitation/presentation skills and experience negotiating with vendors for relevant products and services
4. Significant knowledge of current and emerging application software products and tools
5. Extensive project management experience to include multi-million dollar projects completed on time, within budget and delivering quality results
6. Strong analytical and architectural skills
7. Ability to manage a high volume of internal client relationships
8. Knowledge of all phases of software engineering life cycle and experience with process improvement models
Preferred Qualifications:
1. Experience in managing Agile teams/processes.
2. Financial services experience
OTHER JOB REQUIREMENTS / WORKING CONDITIONS

Able to access and interpret client information received from the computer and able to hear and speak with individuals in person and on the phone.
Manual Dexterity / Keyboarding
Able to work standard office equipment, including PC keyboard and mouse, copy/fax machines, and printers.
Availability
Able to work all hours scheduled, including overtime as directed by manager/supervisor and required by business need.
Travel
