What You Will Do
**The Physical Security Specialist (P3)** is responsible for ensuring the security and compliance of facilities through expertise in core compliance regulations, facility maintenance, new construction, and technical security system services. This role involves coordinating with government authorities, managing vendors and contractors, overseeing security system maintenance, and supporting facility accreditation and construction projects. The ideal candidate will have extensive knowledge of physical security standards to include but not limited to ICD 705, 32 CFR Part 117, UL 2050 & 681, construction processes, and technical security systems, with a focus on delivering high-quality, compliant, and secure environments.
Key Responsibilities:
+ Core Compliance Regulation
+ Documentation of all technical standards necessary for SCIF accreditation.
+ Coordinate RF testing and maintain expertise as a subject matter expert (SME) in RF testing processes.
+ Develop and maintain room drawings and UL certificates to meet facility security requirements.
+ Liaise with Government Authorizing Officials (AOs) to ensure compliance and approvals.
+ Assist in investigations related to security incidents or breaches.
+ Develop and implement policies and procedures for Concept of Operations (CONOPS) and transportation plans.
+ Facilitate integration of General Security Services (GSS) with facility operations.
+ Oversee guard force training and development programs to ensure operational readiness.
+ Monitor and manage facility maintenance schedules to ensure compliance and operational efficiency.
+ Facility Maintenance & New Construction
+ Provide construction expertise across all 16 divisions of construction for facility maintenance and new project builds.
+ Update security requirements for ongoing and new construction projects.
+ Participate in meetings and bid walks to support project planning and execution.
+ Manage the project lifecycle, including issuing Security Statements of Work (SOWs), cost and budget management, and vendor coordination.
+ Oversee contractor performance, providing quality assurance and ensuring adherence to security standards.
+ Serve as a Construction Surveillance Technician (CST) during construction projects to monitor security compliance.
+ UL & Technical Security System Services
+ Support the establishment of P&W CT as a UL Listed Alarm System Company.
+ Administer Lenel OnGuard systems for access control and security management.
+ Maintain knowledge of Intrusion Detection Systems (IDS) and Access Control Systems (ACS) hardware bench stock.
+ Coordinate security system maintenance and locksmith services, including lock maintenance and contract oversight.
+ Provide support for UL audits to ensure compliance with UL standards.
+ Working Conditions
+ May require travel to project sites and facilities (estimated 20%)
+ Ability to work in construction environments and oversee on-site activities.
+ Occasional on-call availability for security incidents or urgent compliance needs.
Qualifications You Must Have:
+ Bachelor’s degree and 5+ years of experience in physical security, facility compliance, project management, or construction management; Associate’s degree and 7+ years of relevant industry experience.
+ The ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government issued security clearance is required. U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance.
+ U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are authorized to access information under this program/contract.
Qualifications We Prefer:
+ Bachelor’s degree in security management, construction management, project management, engineering, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
+ Expertise in the 16 divisions of construction and experience serving as a Construction Surveillance Technician (CST).
+ Familiarity with government regulations and standards (e.g., Tempest, FFC, UL certifications).
+ Physical Security Professional (PSP) or equivalent training.
+ UL Certification for Alarm Systems or equivalent.
+ Proficiency in IDS/ACS hardware management; Lenel OnGuard administration or certification.
+ Knowledge of facility accreditation processes; Certified RF testing and UL standards.
+ Experience in guard force training (contracted and proprietary).
+ Ability to develop and implement security policies, procedures, and training programs.
+ Strong project management skills, including budget, scope development and oversight, schedule awareness, and vendor management.
+ Excellent communication and coordination skills related to working with government officials, contractors, and internal teams.

**Onsite:** Employees who are working in Onsite roles will work primarily onsite. This includes all production and maintenance workers, as they are essential to the development of our engines.

The salary range for this role is 82,000 USD - 164,000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels.
RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.

Payments under these annual programs are not guaranteed and are dependent upon a variety of factors including, but not limited to, individual performance, business unit performance, and/or the company’s performance.
This role is a U.S.-based role. If the successful candidate resides in a U.S. territory, the appropriate pay structure and benefits will apply.
