    Part-Time – Weekender (Sat-Sun) 11:00pm-11:30a

    • A Day in the life:

    + Greet patients and collect blood samples with care and confidence

    + Label and handle specimens to ensure top-notch accuracy

    + Keep workspaces clean and organized

    + Deliver a positive experience—even when patients are nervous

    + Follow safety and infection control procedures like a pro

    • What we're looking for:

    + High school diploma or GED

    + Previous phlebotomy experience is a plus (but not required!)

    + Phlebotomy certification (or ability to earn it within 6 months)

    + A calm presence, good communication, and a love for helping people

    Qualifications

    + Education: High School Diploma or GED, Required. 4 Year / Bachelors Degree, Preferred. Relevant phlebotomy experience, Preferred.

    + Experience: Three Years of experience, Required.

    + Licensure/Certification: Certification by ASCP, ASPT, AMT or NHA; Required.

    + Additional Skills (required):

    + New hire phlebotomist must obtain certification within 12 months of hire. Failure to do so will result in termination of employment.

    + Knowledge of current medical terminology to perform full range of laboratory tasks. Knowledge of medical terminology to communicate with medical staff regarding laboratory procedures and results.

    + Skilled in anticipating and reacting calmly to emergency situations.

    + Skilled in developing and maintaining department quality assurance.

    + Skilled in establishing and maintaining effective working relationships with patients, medical staff, hospital staff and the public.

    + Ability to follow written protocols.

    + Ability to work independently.

    + Ability to communicate clearly.
