+ Job Summary:
+ The Medical Oncology Team pharmacist is responsible for the provision of comprehensive clinical pharmacy services for patients on the medical oncology unit or service and palliative care unit including order verification, rounds, oncology treatment plan support, discharge counseling and pharmacokinetic and therapeutic consultation.
+ Schedule – 1st shift, 0700-1530 and accompanying holiday rotation
+ Responsibilities
+ A Pharmacist is responsible for performance and/or supervision of various aspects of the medication use system including but not limited to: therapeutic recommendations, advocate for patient safety, preparation, distribution, monitoring, oversight of administration, and billing. This practitioner will be primarily based on the Medical Oncology Team and may cross-cover other areas as needed. The pharmacist’s focus is on the quality of care through comprehensive medication management.
+ Qualifications
+ Oncology experience is preferred
+ Residency training PGY1 or comparable acute care experience required
+ Oncology PGY2 preferred
+ Experience:
+ Postgraduate year 1 residency or fellowship OR two years of experience as a registered pharmacist in healthcare system pharmacy required.

Qualifications
+ Education: Bachelor's Degree in Pharmacy, Foreign Pharmacy Graduate Equivalency Committee (FPGEC) Certification, required. Doctorate of Pharmacy, preferred.
+ Experience: Postgraduate year 1 residency or fellowship OR two years of experience as a registered pharmacist in health system pharmacy, required.
+ Licensure/Certification:
+ Current Pharmacy licensure in appropriate state(s) or must be completed within 30 days of start date by either examination or reciprocity, required.
+ Board of Pharmacy Specialties Certification or other approved certification must be obtained and continuously maintained within 2 years of start date as applicable to the role; excludes PRN team members who may not be eligible to take certification exam, required.
+ Additional Skills (required): Other duties as outlined in Novant Health and facility specific policies and procedures. Ability to drive/travel to multiple facilities/locations as needed. Ability to work as part of a high performing, change ready and resilient team.
