Where is the work:
This position has been designated as **On-Site at our Klinge Corporation location.**
What you will do:
You will assist in various production processes, ensuring efficiency and accuracy in all tasks. This role requires excellent communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
Overall responsibility for the following functions:
1. Purchase Order (PO) and Packing List Management (Paint and Outside Processing):
a. Assist in the PO process of painted parts and create packing lists for outsourced services.
b. Create purchase orders from the ERP system for subcontracting parts and close jobs upon return.
c. Advise on job readiness to ensure due dates are met. Update PO dates when raw materials are on order and ensure PO matches and information is shared with the team.
2. EPICOR and Scheduling Support:
a. Assist in EPICOR processes.
b. Support the production and scheduling process with various duties.
3. Material and Supply Management:
a. Notify the Supervisor when material supplies are insufficient to meet the requirements of scheduled work.
b. Order production supplies through purchasing, maintain supply cabinet stock levels, and put items away.
c. Assist with identifying potential job shortages based on weekly PO dates report and updating the daily walkaround sheet has all applicable parts highlighted and ease of use.
4. Documentation and Reporting:
a. Complete all applicable paperwork (e.g., test sheets, on-hire/off-hire, and drawing mark-ups) promptly and legibly, noting any discrepancies.
b. Print travelers and drawings when jobs are released to the shop and for all rework jobs.
c. Process, follow up, and complete RMAs in a timely manner, reporting to the production manager upon completion.
5. Supervision and Labor Planning:
a. Assist in planning labor and effectively supervise subordinates ensure all work is completed within estimated time frames and without rework.
6. Production Efficiency:
a. Assist in maintaining a work/production pace that meets the timetable for job completion/delivery while avoiding lost/missing parts and scrap/rework.
b. Effectively expedite all aspects of production processes to reduce downtime and ensure all processes are supplied, informed, and equipped with necessary support.
c. Look for opportunities to streamline the process and make suggestions for continuous improvements.
7. Time and Attendance Management:
a. Enter employee absences/PTO into ERP system and check daily for accuracy.
b. Enforce employees to approve hours into EPR system for payroll processing and enter supervisor approval if necessary.
8. Quality and Design Feedback:
a. Advise Supervisor and/or engineering of design or manufacturing flaws that prevent the current job from being built, welded, or wired to produce intended results.
b. Advise Supervisor of design flaws that prevent accurate labels, manuals, test sheets, or purchase orders from being produced.
c. Process all ECR updates that are released from the engineering team. Coordinate with the Warehouse to ensure the process is followed through. Work as-is or parts are reworked back into stock.
9. Work Area Maintenance:
a. Clean the assigned area without continuous supervision, sorting reusable materials into piles for disposition as directed.
b. General office supply and inventory management for production office/floor use.
10. Vendor Relations:
a. Contact vendors for subcontracted parts status or expediting requests.
b. Maintain professional relationships with outside vendors and relay information to the supervisor or production manager.
11. Safety and Compliance:
a. Understand and implement job safety setup requirements without repeated reminders.
b. Wear all the required safety equipment for the job being performed without being reminded.
12. Technical Proficiency:
a. Utilize Microsoft Office suite programs, email, and vendor/proprietary software to download data, upload programs, etc.
b. Provide suitable and effective suggestions for solutions to issues when encountered.

• Strict adherence to Quality manual and standards, safety and corporate policies, standard rules of Conduct and procedures.

• Maintain a clean and safe work environment.
• Perform any related functions as required.
What you will bring:
• High School Diploma or equivalent - additional education or certification in a related field is a plus.
• Proven experience in a Production or Manufacturing environment.
• Demonstrable proficiency with strong organizational, planning and multi-tasking skills.
• Demonstrable proficiency with strong communication skills in both written and verbal communication.
• Demonstrable proficiency working in a team environment as both a Leader and a Team Member.
• Demonstrable proficiency in use of Microsoft office products including Word, Excel and Powerpoint.
• Strong interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently and as a collaborative member of a team.
General Duties and Responsibilities:
• Maintain friendly, cooperative relations with customers, vendors, company personnel and management.
• Follow all Company policies and procedures throughout the office.
• Demonstrate the ability to tactfully handle difficult situations.
• Anticipate problems and provide contingency plans and recommendations.
• Organize personal schedule to maximize productivity and time management.
• Perform other tasks or assignments as delegated by the Production Manager or their designate.
Physical Requirements:
• Ability to sit, stand and walk continuously.
• Ability to lift and carry 25 pounds frequently.
• Ability to use arms to reach above the shoulder and bend below to the floor level occasionally.
Compensation:
Base Pay Range: $19.36 per hr to $21.82 per hr.
Base hourly rate is determined at time of interview skills assessment. Demonstration of specific skill delineators will add to base rate to determine rate of hire for the applicant. This is a skills-driven position.
