    Supervisor Opportunity with Xylem/ Evoqua

     

    Unit Supervisor Third Shift (7:30 PM - 6:00 AM) is responsible for managing the overall operational activities:** **fab/weld departments, they will also supervisor metal prep, assembly and paint** **using Lean practices and Kaizen's within the organization. This role involves leading a team of operational professionals, developing and implementing operational procedures, and ensuring compliance with industry standards and regulations. Use Lean Six Sigma (CI) practices. Key responsibilities include managing operational documentation, providing training and development opportunities for staff, and reporting on operational performance to senior management.

    Responsibilities:

    Overseeing and coordinating staff and schedules - roughly 25 direct reports

     

    Managing daily operations and ensuring efficient production

     

    Using Lean practices and Kaizen's - Continuous Improvement

     

    Implementing and enforcing company policies and procedures

     

    Monitoring and maintaining inventory levels

     

    Setting and meeting production goals and targets

     

    Conducting regular performance evaluations and providing feedback to employees

     

    Training and mentoring new hires

     

    Identifying areas for improvement and implementing solutions

     

    Ensuring compliance with safety regulations and protocols

     

    Collaborating with other departments to optimize processes and achieve company objectives

     

    Managing budget and expenses

     

    Resolving any operational issues or conflicts that arise

     

    Conducting regular meetings and providing updates to management

     

    Staying updated on industry trends and implementing best practices

     

    Developing and maintaining strong relationships with clients and vendors

     

    Conducting regular equipment and facility maintenance checks

    Inventory Management:

    • Monitoring inventory levels and implementing inventory control procedures

    • Conducting regular inventory audits and reconciliations

    • Identifying and addressing any inventory discrepancies

    • Collaborating with purchasing department to ensure timely and accurate inventory replenishment

    Quality Control:

    Implementing and maintaining quality control measures

     

    Ensuring compliance with quality standards and regulations

     

    Conducting quality inspections and addressing any issues or concerns

     

    Implementing corrective actions to improve product quality

    Team Management:

    Understand team dynamics and effective management practices. Supervisors should be adept at balancing individual tasks with overseeing team performance.

     

    Conflict Resolution: Ability to address conflicts within the team professionally and constructively.

     

    Motivational Skills: Inspire and motivate team members to achieve their best.

     

    Supervisors often encounter changing priorities and unexpected challenges. Being adaptable and flexible is crucial.

     

    Decision Making: Make informed decisions based on organizational goals and guidelines.

    Qualifications:

    In-depth understanding of inventory management principles and practices.

     

    Excellent organizational and time management skills.

     

    Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.

     

    Lean Six Sigma/Continuous Improvement practices

     

    Effective communication and interpersonal skills.

     

    Preferred: SAP and Workday experience

     

    Preferred: bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management or a related field with at least 4 years experience, with at least 1 year experience as a people manager or equivalent work experience that provides exposure to fundamental theories, principles, and concepts

    Salary range:

    $72,300.00 - $130,100.00
