    Job Description:

    This position provides overall leadership for Intermountain Health’s' air and ground medical transport programs. Role has specific responsibility over operational, cultural, and financial leadership for air and ground medical transport. This position is responsible for providing administrative leadership in developing, planning, organizing, implementing, and managing programs. This position is a system-wide position which assists, facilitates, coordinates, and directs system-wide operations of interacting with all levels of employees and leadership. Acts as the Intermountain Health representative to state and federal regulatory agents, community leaders and accrediting organizations. Oversees the effective management of human resource programs. Identifies staffing needs and oversees recruiting, hiring, retention, terminating, disciplinary actions, performance evaluations, and scheduling. Maintains focus on development and succession planning. Responsible for the overall culture of safety to include ensuring proper policies and procedures are in place.

     

    Provides the leadership necessary to achieve a satisfied and competent caregiver work environment through establishing a climate for growth and challenge with timely performance feedback and developing and mentoring of management and staff. Responsible for coordinating resources for maximum quality, safety productivity and efficiency. Acts as a role model through the demonstration of personal professional development, continuous learning, and competency improvement. Participates in and contributes to educational offerings and visibility in professional organizations.

     

    Ensures that processes and programs are in place to support the achievement of patient satisfaction and service quality goals. Participates in community outreach activities and support staff participation in such efforts. Partners with physician executive for medical transport to ensure quality and patient safety are fully integrated in transport operations. Responsible to maintain compliance with all local, state, and federal regulations, accrediting bodies, organizational policies, and other agencies as appropriate.

    _Minimum Qualifications_

    + _Successfully operated a complex and integrated healthcare delivery operation, inclusive of operating both the clinical, and financial sides of the operation_

    + _Extensive experience opening new care delivery locations throughout the country._

    + _Oversight of both operational and profit and loss company._

    + _Leadership experience in healthcare, medical transport, or emergency medical services within a critical care transport program and in progressively demanding positions._

    + _Bachelor’s Degree or Licensed Pilot Certification_

    _Preferred Qualifications_

    + _Completion of graduate degree in Health Care Administration, Nursing or Business Administration_

    + _Experience operating both clinical and financial sides of a medical air transport organization._

    This is an exempt, full-time position with a compensation range of $258,000 - $303,000, annually, and as determined by prior years of relevant experience. With this position, you are eligible to participate in the Annual Pay for Performance (AP4P) Plan. This plan enables Intermountain Health to provide leaders with an additional performance compensation opportunity. The AP4P award opportunities are calculated as a percentage of your base salary. Awards are paid out based on attainment of selected Board-approved goals.

    The hourly range for this position is listed below. Actual hourly rate dependent upon experience.

     

    $87.84 - $135.58
