Job Description:
To manage all functions of the Catheterization Laboratories to ensure high quality service and efficient operations. This position also directs image quality measurements, vendor service expectations, equipment acquisition initiatives, and installation projects for Intermountain Healthcare. This position works with the Cath Lab Medical and Research Directors, as well as the Intermountain Healthcare CV Clinical Program Medical Director and Operations Officer. The incumbent participates in planning, goal setting, measurement, improvement teams and communication for the cardiovascular service line.

Essential Functions
+ Interview and hire staff and develop orientation plans. Perform employee evaluations; Counsel and discipline employees as needed through the constructive discipline process including termination.
+ Provide productive and informative in-services & training for employees.
+ Coordinate and oversee employee work schedules.
+ Responsible for ensuring accurate and timely payroll processing.
+ Develop and maintain a 5-year strategic plan for services including targeted growth opportunities.
+ Identify problem areas, i.e., poor utilization of materials or personnel, and develop an implementation plan for any changes that may be necessary.
+ Responsible for ensuring accurate procedure scheduling, medical necessity documentation, coding, billing, and reimbursement.
+ Develop operating budgets and capital budgets as a member of the CV Leadership Team.
+ Responsible for implementing quality assurance and education programs.
+ Act as an advisor during all Intermountain Healthcare Cath Lab construction and installation projects.
Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications
+ Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist or Cardiovascular Electrophysiology Specialist
+ Basic Life Support certification (BLS) for healthcare providers.
+ ACLS certification for healthcare providers or PALS for pediatric hospitals.
+ Knowledge of cardiac anatomy, physiology, and pathophysiology.
Preferred Qualifications
+ Bachelor's or master's degree in a related field.
+ Three years of management experience.
+ Experience in strategic planning including developing and implementing standardized policies and procedures.
+ Experience managing clinical processes and leading change.

+ Ongoing need for employee to see and read information, documents, monitors, identify equipment and supplies, and be able to assess customer needs.
+ Frequent interactions with providers, colleagues, customers, patients/clients, and visitors that require employee to verbally communicate as well as hear and understand spoken information, needs, and issues quickly and accurately.
+ Manual dexterity of hands and fingers to manipulate complex and delicate equipment with precision and accuracy. This includes frequent computer use for typing, accessing needed information, etc.
+ May have the same physical requirements as those of clinical or patient care jobs, when the leader takes clinical shifts.
+ For roles requiring driving: Expected to drive a vehicle which requires sitting, seeing and reading signs, traffic signals, and other vehicles.

The hourly range for this position is listed below. Actual hourly rate dependent upon experience.
$50.22 - $77.53
