As a Senior Software Engineer on the User Interface Software Development Team, you’ll design and build easy to use diagnostic software that keeps our customers’ production facilities running — and helps predict when maintenance is needed. You’ll also have the opportunity to explore new technologies, bridge the physical and digital worlds, and contribute to our future mobile development.
As a Senior Software Engineer You Will:
+ Design and develop maintainable software applications in a truly collaborative team environment
+ Conduct peer code reviews and provide constructive feedback
+ Voice your opinion and contribute to feature planning and roadmap discussions
+ Lead process improvements and technical initiatives
+ Support special projects and innovation experiments
+ Provide 3 rd level technical support as needed (no on-call rotations!)
+ Mentor and guide junior engineers
Who You Are:
You prefer action over unnecessary planning. You effectively communicate in small and large group settings, or with diverse personality types and across management hierarchies. You break down objectives into appropriate smaller spikes, experiments, prototypes and cross-functional pieces of implementation.
For This Role You Will Need:
+ Bachelor of Science in Computer Engineering, Software Engineering, Computer Science or equivalent technical degree AND 5 years of professional software development experience OR High School Degree AND 10 years of professional software development experience in lieu of a degree
Preferred Qualifications that Set You Apart:
+ 7+ years of professional software development experience
+ Proficiency in object-oriented programming (e.g., C#, .NET Blazor)
+ Experience with front-end frameworks (e.g., React, TypeScript)
+ Familiarity with version control systems like Git
+ Experience of leveraging AI Coding Assistants
+ Ability to architect modular, maintainable software
+ Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
+ Excellent communication and collaboration abilities
+ Self-motivated with a passion for continuous learning
+ Previous experience with Extreme Programming techniques
