    SUMMARY OF POSITION PURPOSE:

    This position is responsible for management, oversight, development, and facilitation of the training team in the support of our Epic applications and projects. Develops the training strategy and provides support to end-users in hospitals, ancillary departments, physicians and physician offices. Responsible for the continued development of training materials for Epic applications end-user training and manages the Epic trainers. Works with departmental staff in defining, planning, implementing and evaluating the training required to ensure a smooth change management and training plan as it impacts on departmental operations. Manages and supports our Epic Help Desk staff in supporting our physicians, clinicians, end-users, and patients in problem resolution and escalation.

    DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

    1. Responsible for managing and leading the staff of Principal and Credentialed Trainers in support of our organization-wide Epic training program.

    2. Assisting in the hiring and training of Principal Trainers and working with departmental directors / managers in the selection and training of Super Users.

    3. Plan, develop, coordinate, manage and evaluate implementation and optimization training for all trainers.

    4. Formulate / define training system scope and objectives for identified Epic applications requiring build and development.

    5. Responsible for overseeing the development of training schedules, agendas, course materials, job aids and post training competencies.

    6. Responsible for participating in the preparation of application test scripts, integrated test scripts, and regression test scripts for assigned applications that meet end-users needs.

    7. Works closely with the department director as the central point of communication for training and help desk team. Works closely and collaboratively with other project managers and clinical leaders regarding training issues and requirements.

    8. Manages and supports our Epic Help Desk staff in problem resolution and escalation.

    9. Possess strong interpersonal, communication, written and verbal skills. QUALIFICATIONS:

    • Requires an Associate or Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Business or clinical related field or equivalent work experience

    • The applicant should have 5 years' experience in implementing and/or supporting information systems as well as hospital operational experience in a clinical or healthcare business field

     

    Applicant should have previous experience developing clinical training material and end-user training
