    Position Overview

    The Warehouse Manager will be responsible for overseeing the efficient receipt, storage, and dispatch of a wide range of aircraft components and materials. This role requires strong management skills, an understanding of aviation regulations, and the ability to maintain high standards of safety and quality control.

     

    Essential Job Duties

     

    + Ensure accurate tracking and documentation of all inventories, including aircraft parts, tools, and consumables. Implement effective inventory control systems to minimize waste and optimize stock levels.

    + Apply lean principles to reflow and redesign warehouse spaces for improved material handling, reduced waste, and better utilization of resources.

    + Drive initiatives to improve inventory turns and reduce excess and obsolete stock, collaborating with procurement and planning teams.

    + Maintain stringent quality standards for all stored items, ensuring compliance with aviation regulations and manufacturer specifications.

    + Conduct regular inspections and audits to verify the condition and authenticity of parts.

    + Ensure proper documentation for all inbound and outbound shipments, including commercial invoices, packing lists, and shipping labels.

    + Oversee the receiving of incoming shipments, verifying their accuracy and condition.

    + Monitor packing processes ensuring goods are packed securely and in compliance with customer and regulatory requirements.

    + Manage and oversee hazardous materials shipping, ensuring full compliance with DOT, IATA, and IMDG regulations.

    + Maintain and enforce safety protocols related to handling, storage, and transportation of hazardous goods ensuring compliance with OSHA regulations and industry standards.

    + Maintain compliance with export laws and regulations, including EAR, ITAR, and OFAC.

    + Ensure all exports are screened against restricted party lists and comply with country-specific requirements.

    + Manage the timely dispatch of parts and materials to various departments, ensuring that all processes are documented and adhere to standard procedures.

    + Supervise daily warehouse activities including staffing, training, and scheduling. Ensure the warehouse is organized, clean, and operates efficiently.

    + Provide training and guidance to staff on safe handling and storage practices.

    + Work closely with planning, procurement, maintenance, and engineering teams to forecast demand, address shortages, create kits, and coordinate the delivery of critical components.

    + Collaborate with other company facilities and departments to implement process improvements, system upgrades, and standardize warehouse procedures and best practices.

    + Generate regular reports on inventory levels, warehouse activity, and performance metrics. Maintain accurate and up-to-date records for audits and regulatory reviews.

     

    What you need: (Requirements)

     

    Minimum

     

    + Associate’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field. Equivalent work experience may count towards this requirement.

    + Minimum of 5 years’ experience in warehouse management

    + Proficiency in warehouse management software, ERP systems, and inventory tracking tools.

    + Strong understanding of aviation parts and components.

    + Strong negotiation and contract management skills.

    + Knowledge of HAZMAT regulations (DOT, IATA, IMDG) and shipping documentation requirements.

    + Working knowledge of U.S. export control regulations.

    + Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to collaborate with various departments and stakeholders.

    + Advanced problem-solving skills and the ability to make quick decisions under pressure.

    + Experience in resolving inventory discrepancies and mitigating supply chain disruptions.

    + High attention to detail and accuracy in documentation and inventory handling.

    + Comprehensive knowledge of best practices for warehouse operations.

    + Travel may be required to other facilities, customers, and vendors.

     

    Preferred

     

    + Relevant certifications in warehouse management and/or export compliance (CUSECO)

    + HAZMAT training or certification

    + Experience in the aviation MRO sector.

    + Knowledge of aviation industry regulations.

    Physical Requirements

    + Normal office environment where approximately 40% of work is performed in a sitting position with remaining requirements of walking around office, hanger and stores areas.

    + Normal mental and visual attention along with manual coordination for keyboarding.

    + Normal or corrected hearing and vision are required.

    + Typical duties require bending, stooping, reaching and carrying up to 20 lbs.

    + Manager must have a valid driver’s license.
