• Java-Angular Developer

    GovCIO (Washington, DC)


    Overview

     

    GovCIO is currently hiring for a Java/Angular Developer with AWS to support our client’s contract needs This position is located in the Washington, DC area and will be a hybrid remote position, with at least one day onsite a week.

    Responsibilities

    + Build and maintain modern, responsive web applications using Angular, TypeScript, RxJS, and HTML/CSS.

    + Analyze legacy ADF applications and map features to modern Angular equivalents.

    + Development of Java Web Application, Web Services, HTML, JSP, JavaScript, AJAX, JQuery, and SOA related architectural code.

    + Design of Oracle database schemas and implementation of Java ORM

    + Installation and configuration of WebLogic Application Servers.

    + Develop RESTful APIs.

    + Development and enhancements ofexisting Java-based web applications.

    Qualifications

    + Bachelor’s Degree with 5 - 8 years (or commensurate experience)

    Required Skills and Experience

    + 4–7 years of experience as a Full Stack Developer with Java and Angular.

    + Strong understanding of object-oriented programming, multithreading, and common Java libraries.

    + Expertise in Spring Boot, Spring MVC, and REST API development.

    + Proficient in building and maintaining modern, responsive web applications using Angular, TypeScript, RxJS, and HTML/CSS.

    + Ability to analyze legacy ADF applications and map features to modern Angular equivalents.

    + Proficient with core AWS services such as EC2, S3, Lambda, RDS, API Gateway, and IAM.

    + Experience deploying Java and Angular applications on AWS.

    + Strong SQL skills and experience with both RDBMS (Oracle, PostgreSQL, MySQL) and NoSQL (DynamoDB).

    + Proficient in developing and consuming RESTful APIs.

    **Clearance Required:** Must be able to acquire and maintain Department of Transportaition Public Trust

    Preferred Skills and Experience

    + Hands-on experience converting applications from Oracle ADF (JSF-based) to Angular-based front-ends.

    + Self-driven and capable of managing multiple tasks in Agile/Scrum environments.

    + Experience working with legacy systems and guiding technical modernization efforts.

    + Proven experience with ADF application maintenance and migration projects.

    + Experience with microservices architecture.

    + Familiarity with security best practices for web and cloud applications.

    + Understanding of Oracle WebLogic and other components from the ADF ecosystem

    Posted Pay Range

     

    The posted pay range, if referenced, reflects the range expected for this position at the commencement of employment, however, base pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including market location, job-related knowledge, skills, education, experience, and internal equity. The total compensation package for this position may also include other compensation elements, to be discussed during the hiring process. If hired, employee will be in an “at-will position” and the GovCIO reserves the right to modify base salary (as well as any other discretionary payment or compensation program) at any time, including for reasons related to individual performance, GovCIO or individual department/team performance, and market factors.

    USD $115,000.00 - USD $125,000.00 /Yr.
