The Minnesota Sex Offender Program (MSOP) is a sex offense specific treatment program in a modified therapeutic community and secure setting that provides comprehensive services to 740 civilly committed clients. Services include sex offense specific treatment, education programming, therapeutic recreation, vocational programming and volunteer services, and health and wellness.
Our team is seeking a dynamic, dedicated individual for our Director of Clinical Programming career opportunity. The Director of Clinical Programming develops and oversees the implementation of clinical programming (Therapeutic Recreation, Education & Vocation Programming) at the MSOP St. Peter location.
+ Provide oversight and management of clinical programming (therapeutic recreation, education & vocational) staff to ensure policies standards and regulations are met
+ Oversee development of clinical programming and overseeing implementation of such programs and treatment models
+ Establish departmental and individual client goals to measure program effectiveness
+ Coordinate clinical programming services with the clinical, operations, and health services departments
Minimum Qualifications
2 years supervisory experience in a therapeutic, residential treatment, rehabilitative, or correctional setting; experience must include:
+ Employee management; including performance management, mentoring, work direction and guidance, staffing, and training
+ Program development and delivery; identifying solutions
+ Budget management
+ Experience working with a multi-disciplinary team
+ Experience with the principles of diversity, equity, and inclusion
OR
3 years professional experience in a therapeutic, residential treatment, rehabilitative, or correctional setting and 1 year of supervisory or other leadership experience or completion of leadership development program (L4, Emerging Leaders Institute, etc.). Experience must include the following:
+ Experience in delivery of program services to sexual offenders or mentally ill
+ Planning and organizing projects and programs
+ Overseeing and implementing clinical programming, life skills/education, or initiatives designed to enhance the services provided to individuals who are confined
+ Process improvement
Note: Bachelor’s degree may substitute for 1 year of professional experience
Preferred Qualifications
+ Bachelors degree in Recreation, Therapeutic Recreation, Corrective Therapy or related field
+ Experience working with sexual offenders or mentally ill within a secure facility
+ Experience with Recreational Therapy, Education Spiritual/Volunteer Services or Vocational Programming
+ Experience working effectively with others from different backgrounds and cultures as our employees are dedicated to ensuring cultural responsiveness.
