Shipping & Receiving Clerk / Materials Associate (Associates Degree) Location: West Des Moines, IA (50265) Job ID: #71084 Pay Range: $25-27 1st Shift: Mon - Fri 8a-5p OT is required - working more than 8hr daily or SAT's All work is On-site & Fulltime Open to Candidates with US Citizenship or Permanent Residency THE COMPANY - Work with one of the Largest American Owned Aerospace & Defense Companies. SUMMARY: Performs a variety of manual / administrative tasks associated with: - Inventory control - Stockroom - Kitting - Expediting - Shipping and Receiving operations in accordance with established procedures. JON RESPONSIBILITIES: • Receives, checks, stores, issues and ships a variety of items and maintains inventory control / keep track of inventory counts of packages in and out of Facility • Use Manual / Electric Pallet Jack or Carts - Uses assistance and/or powered mechanical – Manual / Electric Pallet Jack or Carts (not to include forklifts or high bay vehicles) • Loads / Unloads packages – with Pallet Jack or similar equipment to: load, unload, store and deliver a variety of incoming and outgoing material. • Prepares and packages - small and large parts using proper procedures and materials. • POs /Purchase Orders - Processes (POs) Purchase Orders for spare tooling and materials. • Uses PC - Proficiently uses PC / Computer hardware/software. • Packaging - Oversees Parts Preparation, Material Handling, Measuring and Packaging Equipment AND • Keeps Records - Records calibration logs of tools and equipment. • PM / Preventative Maintenance - Performs operator preventative maintenance tasks and refers major breakdowns to machine maintenance. • Inventory & Regulation - Oversees Inventory and Maintains all government tooling property according to military regulations. • Customer Contact – via phone or email, Maintains contact with personnel from various customers and supports areas to ensure accuracy of material/process. • Uses Weight Scales - Uses assorted measuring and weight recording devices. • Keep work area clean - Keeps equipment and surrounding areas neat and clean. • Exhibits Company’s Leadership Behaviors and Values. • Supports and follows all rules/guidelines/standards set by EHS, Quality and CI functions as set by assigned leader and position. • Perform other duties as assigned including working extended shifts/overtime as required by the business.
