The Manager Sourcing is a first-level manager who leads a team by overseeing the planning, staffing, and day-to-day operations of the Sourcing function. This role will be responsible for ensuring assigned areas operate in a cost effective and efficient manner to achieve defined business objectives and goals.

Duties and Responsibilities of the Position::

+ Provide direction to team according to established policies and management guidance.

+ Oversee day-to-day work schedules and plans.

+ Review relevant factors to analyze situations and resolve issues.

+ Work with senior management to plan and develop / control budgets to ensure cost-effective operations to deliver high quality products to customers.

+ Locate vendors of materials, equipment, or supplies to determine product availability and terms of sales.

+ Manage supplier relations and contract compliance while maintaining the highest code of ethics and conduct.

+ Responsible for achieving defined business objectives and contributes to department KPIs.

+ Conduct forecasting for raw material cost and consumption.

+ Continuously analyze market and delivery conditions to ensure present and future material availability.

+ Work with Manufacturing, Engineering, R&D, and Product Development to develop product specifications and source substitute and new materials.

+ May handle complex problems pertaining to sourcing, purchasing, suppliers, inventory, claims, and customer relations.

+ Actively involved in sourcing invectives and provide support to resolving problems.

+ Work towards achieving sourcing sales and margin objectives.

+ Visit suppliers and manufacturing plants to ensure product quality and service.

+ Perform other duties as needed.

Required Experience and Education:

+ Bachelors degree in a related field or equivalent education and/or experience.

+ 6-8 years relevant experience or equivalent education and/or experience.

+ 1-3 years of management experience.

+ Proficient using Microsoft Office Suite products.

+ Flexible attitude, adaptable to change, team player, and able to handle multiple projects at once.

+ High degree of professionalism, judgment, maturity, and resourcefulness in the absence of formalized guidelines and procedures.

+ This employee will be responsible for direct reports.

+ This position may require some travel.
